Awesome indeed. I suddenly realized an hour ago that there will be no 'Nicole Kidman caught lipsynching to Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream"' moment tonight at the Oscars and this truly saddens me. Nicole Kidman reaction shots for the win. Hope we get some.
Nicole Presents
It's not that Jeremy Renner is short (5'10", totes normal). It's that Nicole Kidman is tall (5'11" and always in heels). Since I didn't see the show I can reinterpret this moment as Nicole Kidman and Jeremy Renner presenting James Franco with his contract to star in Oz: The Great and Powerful (2013). Look he's a floating head above them "WHO DARE DISTURBS THE GREAT WIZARD".
If you've ever read the vague plot descriptions of this movie, which has a hip revisionist slant like all new takes on old tales do these days, you'll know that the producers of Broadway's Wicked have been very stupid to take so long getting that musical on the big screen. Their thunder will be more than stolen with so many Oz films in the works. But damn Wicked coulda made a great big screen movie.
Nicole Multitasking
Paparazzi shots show Kidman arriving at the festivities, looking awesome, shielding herself from the sun and wind, kissing someone (who?), walking with Keith and talking on the cel phone. I'm surprised she didn't juggle while talking to the press. Who was she talking to? Who is she kissing?

Seeing these two together, even for a brief "celebrity arrivals" snapshot is bliss. Moulin Rouge! hits its 10th year anniversary this June. Stay tuned. We will totally celebrate.
