Manuel here bringing you the trailer for the latest addition to the newly revived outer space genre.
After Cuaron's Oscar-winning film, Interstellar, The Martian, and even this year's Arrival, you can bet NASA is very happy with the way Hollywood has begun again telling grounded stories about heading out into space (you know, aside from the franchises and sequels that take place in galaxies far far away and tackle the final frontier)...
Which brings us to Life. Daniel Espinosa (of Safe House fame) is at the helm this time with Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Ferguson, and Jake Gyllenhaal playing the astronauts in a mission that soon goes awry once they discover... life (hence the rather dull title). Check out the full trailer below:
I can't be the only one getting a Gravity meets Alien vibe, right? Though weirdly, what worked really well for those two flicks (a kickass female protagonist) seems to be missing, unless Ferguson is our Final Girl and both Bubble Boy and Deadpool kick it at some point in the film? What's everyone else's take on this 2017 Memorial Day flick?
