March isn't a big month for either Netflix (previously discussed) or Amazon Prime. But there are still new titles to view if streaming if your main movie outlet. Here's what's new for late February and early March on Prime. We've freeze framed titles at totally random places and sharing whatever came up.
I hit the main artery so it's a real mess in there. On the upside I think she had a really good time.
What We Do in the Shadows
Bless Taika Waititi. This movie is so funny. And I saw it on a plane and still laughed so that's quite a recommendation because who can enjoy a movie fully on a plane? The Thor movies are definitely the superhero franchise I'm least interested in but with him behind Thor: Ragnarok I'm curious.
Emma: They cannot help but lift the spirits. Dear you must try to empty your mind of Mr. Elton
Harriet: I'm sorry. It was kind of you to invite me.
[Look at puppy, tears up]
Harriet: Mr Elton had brown eyes, too!
Emma
I remember l-o-v-i-n-g this and right on the heels of Clueless with which it famously shares source material. It's adorable. Wish Gwynnie had stuck with acting and especially that Toni had had a better agent or something. I'll never ever understand what happened to the career of one of our most endearing and rangey actresses.
I wouldn't dance with your ass if you were the last man on earth.
Vampire in Brooklyn
Nobody does telling men off with righteous fury like Angela Bassett
Stick it to the man
Captain Fantastic
It just occurred to me that I've given Viggo Mortensen 4 acting medals at the Film Bitch Awards over the years (for A History of Violence, Eastern Promises, A Dangerous Method, and Captain Fantastic) but none were gold medals. What's wrong with me? One of my very favorite actors in the world.
No dialogue.
The Collection (Season 1)
Okay, technically this one launched in earlyFebruary but I just started watching it. I wasn't in the right frame of mind (very distracted at the time, you know how that happens sometimes with TV) so I'd have to watch episode 1 over again if I hoped to have an opinion but this series about a fashion business family did look visually stylish with soapy dynamics between characters.
If you've seen it -- thoughts? Worth continuing?
[No dialogue. Fighting over a bottle of whiskey]
The Dressmaker
The most enjoyable mess of last year, don'cha think? I mean it's all over the place but still so watchable. And it was marvelous to see Kate Winslet fired up and sexed up, paired with Judy Davis in juicy ham mode.
