Chris here. D23 (basically Disney's own version of Comic Con) is underway and there have been quite a few delightful things to emerge - a gorgeous trailer for A Wrinkle in Time, tidbits on The Last Jedi, and early footage of Coco and the next Avengers gathering...
But one moment that had me gay gasping: in a presentation for next year's Wreck-It Ralph sequel, Ralph Breaks The Internet, one clip featured cameos from a whole bunch of Disney princesses. Don't forget that one Ralph's final moments had Sarah Silverman's bubbly Vanellope declared a princess herself.
But the panel didn't just bring out Silverman, they brought out as many Disney princesses as they could fit on the stage. When was the last time we got so many in one place? Of the living Disney princesses, the few that were missing included Idina Menzel's Elsa and Ming-na Wen's Mulan (and a singing counterpart or two). We always love and actress photo call, voice over or otherwise!
Roll call (L to R): Paige O'Hara (Belle), Irene Bedard (Pocahontas), Mandy Moore (Rapunzel), Auli'i Cravalho (Moana), Silverman, Kristen Bell (Anna), Kelly MacDonald (Merida), Anika Noni Rose (Tiana), Linda Larkin (Jasmine), and Jodi Benson (Ariel). Tag yourself: I'm Lea Salonga, double heard but unseen!
