Are you ready for the season premiere of what's going to be the final season (at least in its current form) of Supporting Actress Smackdown? The Smackdown and companion podcast arrive this Thursday. We're starting with the current Oscar race honoring the films and performances of 2020 and your votes count so hurry up and get them in.

Grace Aki is a playwright, actor and host of the comedic storytelling podcast Tell me on a Sunday.” Currently she is developing a solo play entitled To Free a Mockingbird which won "Audience Choice" at Atlanta Fringe. SCOTT FEINBERG
Scott Feinberg is The Hollywood Reporter’s awards columnist and host of its Awards Chatter podcast. He is also a trustee professor at Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, and a member of the board of the Los Angeles Press Club. [Twitter | Instagram]

PETER KNEGT
Peter Knegt is a writer and filmmaker. He covered the Oscar beat for nearly a decade at Indiewire, which is where he got his start. He's also written a book on the history of LGBTQ rights in Canada and made six short films. Since 2016, he's written and produced content for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, including the docuseries Canada's a Drag and the interactive project Superqueeroes, both of which won him Canadian Screen Awards.  [Twitter | Instagram | IMDb]

 

JORGE MOLINA
Jorge Molina is a writer, producer, and film festival programmer originally from Mexico City, now based in LA. He's currently the Programming Coordinator at the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival, and has worked in places like Outfest LA, the TCM Film Festival, and Sundance. He has written several features that have placed in national fellowships, and his short film "Muy Gay Too Mexicano" recently ended its festival run. He's the creator and showrunner of Kindgom of Pavement's scripted podcast "Just to be Nominated"a murder mystery set in the world of award season campaigning, currently releasing episodes bi-weekly.
