Marvel Studios released a big "back to the movies" video to celebrate the communal experience of movie-going. You get tiny slivers of their past "phases" and sneak peaks of all four films coming in 2021 except the Christmas-time Spider-Man (so we'll assume there isn't yet footage available). The most "exciting" of which for all it's 'what will this be like?' mystery is The Eternals directed by freshly double-Oscared Chloe Zhao from. We get some wide shots but no glimpses of the action except Angelina Jolie raising a sword. It will be good to have her back on the big screen where she belongs! The "tease" and release dates after the jump...

UPDATED SCHEDULE

2021

BLACK WIDOW - July 9th, 2021
SHANG-CHI AND THE LEGEND OF THE TEN RINGS - September 3rd, 2021
ETERNALS - November 5th, 2021
SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME - December 17th, 2021

2022
DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS - March 25th, 2022
THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER - May 6th, 2022
BLACK PANTHER: WAKANDA FOREVER - July 8th, 2022
THE MARVELS - November 11th, 2022

2023
ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA - February 17th, 2023
GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 3 - May 5th, 2023

After those dates there's an obvious "Fantastic Four" symbol behind the Marvel Studios logo and then a black screen with "See You at the Movies" as well as this dread fine print caveat...

Is that referring to their Disney+ television series supplemental material? Or maybe it's a nod that Captain America 4 (with Anthony Mackie headlining as the new Cap) will be straight to Disney+? Or maybe Fantastic Four will be since it's already had three failed attempts at cinematic glory before Marvel got the rights back? Or is this an out clause in general in case the theatrical experience collapses entirely by the summer of 2023?

Time will tell. Though time will also be meaningless as stakes are significantly lowered once the multiverse is introduced.
