Look how I ran into last night at The Good Nurse premiere at the Paris Theater in NYC! And by "ran into" I mean "eagerly accepted an invitation to attend assuming we'd get to say hello again"...

Jessica Chastain was as delightful and friendly as ever. We chatted briefly about her visit to Ukraine, her next project after the films she's recently wrapped (she was purposefully vague about it since it hasn't officially been announced yet), and of course Oscar night. She still swears she didn't think she was going to win. When I told her that she and Eddie Redmayne should play relatives next time she improved my idea and suggested they do a movie about fraternal twins. Where can we buy tickets?

Seriously, they look so familial in the movie that it added an interesting dynamic to the true story. The film, which begins streaming on Netflix on October 26th, is about the nurse Amy Loughren (Chastain) who becomes fast friends with Charlie Cullen (Eddie Redmayne) a new coworker on the night shift. But she realizes that something is very wrong when two patients in their care suddenly die.

Later at the premiere party i demanded director Tobias Lindholm's assurance that he would not stop making movies in his home country now that he's  'gone Hollywood'. If the name sounds familiar it's because he co-wrote amazing Danish films like The Commune and the Mads Mikkelsen hit The Hunt. His own feature A War was also Oscar-nominated. He can't quit now! He promises he'll do both. We'll see.

Before leaving the party my boyfriend and I did what many of the attendees were doing and congratulated the real life heroes of the story who had come to the party -- the two real detectives who investigated the deaths (played by Noah Emmerich and Nnamdi Asomugha in the movie) and Amy Loughren herself were there. How did Loughren feel about Chastain playing her, since she obviously had no idea who would when the book about the crime was optioned for the screen. "I feel like I manifested it," she told us with a smile, obviously delighted with Chastain.

And who wouldn't be?
