Two non-location based groups, The Women's Film Critics Circle and The Online Association of Female Film Critics, have now named their "best of 2022". And fFive more regional critics groups have announced their winners with Dallas-Forth Worth, St Louis, Utah, Philadelphia, and Indiana chiming in. Ke Huy Quan and Everything Everywhere All At Once won at all of these organizations that have the traditional categories of Supporting Actor and Best Film. (Women's Film Critics Circle does not have traditional categories and instead focuses on depictions of women onscreen with She Said taking their top prize.) PHILADELPHIA FILM CRITICS CIRCLE (PFCC)
Philadelphia was super into RRR giving it three prizes (Score, Cinematography, and Foreign Film). They also gave that rare breakthrough filmmaker/debut prize to someone other than Charlotte Wells (a shock for this particular season!)

UTAH FILM CRITICS ASSOCIATION (UFCA)
The UFCA wins the "overkill" prize. Not only did they give Everything Everywhere All At Once three of their four main acting prizes but they also gave it two additional acting prizes (Ensemble & Performance in a Fantasy film, doubling up on some Ke Huy Quan). The Daniels film won 10 of their prizes in total.

SPECIAL MERIT: Jafar Panahi - For the courage of the imprisoned Iranian director and all film professionals confronting political oppression in the pursuit of free speech, human rights, and artistic expression.
SPECIAL MERIT: Ashley Judd - For the bravery she demonstrated in portraying herself in She Said.
SPECIAL MERIT: David Bowie - For the expansive and continuing cinematic presence of the singer-songwriter and actor, whose life and music continues to permeate and enrich the cinema landscape.
And finally two non-regional critics groups, the Women Film Critics Circle and the Online Association of Femalee Film Critics have also announced their prizes. They have some overlapping members of course but they have very different categories, with the OAFFC having the usual sort of categories and the WFCC focusing mostly on depictions of women onscreen.
