Can you guess the movie from its first and last shot?

The first image suggests a college dramedy or some such but the last should cue you into the genre: thriller. Or, in this case, the overabundant subgenre of serial killer thriller. It's Copycat (1995) in which singer Harry Connick Jr (back in his 'expanding the multi-hyphenate celebrity' days) plays a serial killer terrorizing agoraphobic shut-in Sigourney Weaver. Holly Hunter co-stars. The serial killer genre exploded after 1991's Silence of the Lambs (which we've written about a lot) and not all of them are created equally. We remember Copycat as being a icky but good little thriller that was doomed to be wholly overshadowed the same year by an instant classic of the subgenre, David Fincher's Se7en.
