Usually it is so difficult to have enough entries and this year there were so many musicals (11 actually!) and musical-adjacent movies like CODA, Barb & Star, and The Eyes of Tammy Faye. In some others years any of these films might have dominated but not this year!

Finalists: Bond ambushed in Matera in No Time To Die, "Armored" car chase in Escape from Mogadishu, Attempted target extraction at a strange gala in No Time To Die, Outside the skyscraper in Shang-Chi, and dancing fight in the woods in Shang-Chi

Semi Finalists: The attempted nursing home rescue in I Care a Lot, Round two of the titular battle only add in Mechagodzilla in Godzilla vs Kong (I would have loved to include Spider-Man No Way Home but quite honestly the action sequences left a lot to be desired. No invention or choreography... their only thrills derived from seeing familiar characters.)
