The charming Little Nicholas (EFA nomination), cartoon Saloon's My Father's Dragon, Japan's rock musical Inu-Oh, and the box office hit Bad Guys probably had a bit of a reason to hope they'd be included but it was not to be. 27 films in total were eligible the others being Lightyear, Wendell & Wild, Strange World, Charlotte, Mad God, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Drifting Home, Eternal Spring, Goodbye Don Glees, Lamya's Poem, New Gods: Yang Jian, Oink, Run Tiger Run, Apollo 10 1/2 A Space Age Childhood, Bob's Burgers the Movie, DC League of Super Pets, Luck, and Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank

It's a competitive field so none of them would surprise us. We need to think on this some more.

The most high profile "snub" in the finalist list was definitely Good Night Oppy with a side of Three Minutes: A Lengthening.
