ORIGINAL SCORE The Academy's music branch narrowed the field to 20 options, and many of their choices were typically asinine. How is Wicked For Good STILL eligible... a second eligibility period (one was bad enough!!!) for underscore between and based on songs that were written 20+ years ago and amply rewarded at the time. Because Oscar's music branch are apparently all besties with Diane Warren and can't help themselves, no matter how embarassing their default nomination each year is given the songs they snub to include her every composition. This year they even ditched acclaimed scores to include this documentaries original score -- and it's not even BY Diane Warren, just about her. noms: |
