Joseph Gordon-Levitt Doo Doos
Today in overachieving adorableness, Joseph Gordon-Levitt sang with his mommy over at hitRECord, to mark his birthday. He says:
it was 30 years ago today, my mom started cleaning up my doo doos
He hints that fans should remix their harmonized birthday doo-doo'ing. I imagine someone(s) will take him up on it, given the online devotion.
Up next for JGL: It's quite a full slate. There's Hesher, a Sundance 2010 drama offering that's finally getting a release this spring; September's Live With It, a comedy about cancer with a great cast including Anna Kendrick and Angelica Huston; Premium Rush an action movie about a bike messenger that's aiming for January 2012; Looper his sci-fi tinged reunion with his Brick director Rian Johnson; and then a micro-indie called The Dark Knight Rises. I believe there's a kickstarter campaign you can donate to somewhere.
On a scale of 1-10, where are you in JG-L fandom?
What would you give JG-L for his big day?

There's a long list of celebrities turning (or have turned) 30 this year. Team 1981 is an excellent crop. Nat, I think it would make for an interesting post.
January 28 - Elijah Wood
January 31 - Justin Timberlake
February 17 - Paris Hilton
March 2 - Bryce Dallas Howard
March 28 - Julia Stiles
April 10 - Michael Pitt
April 28 - Jessica Alba
June 9 - Natalie Portman
August 8 - Roger Federer
September 4 - Beyoncé
September 12 - Jennifer Hudson
September 16 - Alexis Bledel
October 30 - Ivanka Trump
December 2 - Britney Spears
December 28 - Sienna Miller
Whew!
BM. - i'm always horrified when i realize how young Beyonce is. She's been famous forever and she never seemed like a "youngster" at any point. it's like she's a perpetual 30. ;)
I'm definitely on the JGL fandom! But to add to BM's list... Buffy Summers also turned 30 this year.
#geek shut up
BM, 1981 can't beat 1980 though (I admit I'm partial) ;)
January 17 - Zooey Deschanel
January 18 - Jason Segel
February 12 - Christina Ricci
April 26 - Channing Tatum
July 18 - Kristen Bell
August 26 - Macaulay Culkin
August 26 - Chris Pine
September 9 - Michelle Williams
September 29 - Zachary Levi
October 29 - Ben Foster
November 12 - Ryan Gosling
December 18 - Christina Aguilera
December 19 - Jake Gyllenhaal
December 30 - Eliza Dushku
Oh, and not to forget:
July 31 - Harry Potter
Pretty impressive, eh?
I've liked JGL ever since the baseball movie Angels in the Outfield. I loved it! And yeah 1980 trumps 1981. Love the Harry Potter reference.
My bf Carlos LOVES this guy... I'd give them a hot night together!
i love Mikey and JGL so much. i'd do anything for either!
On a scale from 1-10 .... Maybe 8 - I admit - since I watched (500) Days of Summer ! The musical sequence did it maybe!
Tommy Solomon ios 30? My how time flies.
What would I give him? Nothing appropriate for polite conversation – think Julia Roberts in her first encounter with Richard Gere in Pretty Woman while “I Love Lucy” plays in the background.
Btw 1982 is the best year to be born in. We also have better movies than 80 and 81.
Blade Runner
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
Grease 2 – Pfeiffer
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean
/3rtfull -- i love that you'd retitled Grease 2 "Grease 2 - Pfeiffer" the new title makes it automatically better ;)
Mary -- that does it for us all!
I have always thought he was great in all of his movie roles ... never saw the sitcom he was in.
On my scale of 1--10 ... he would be a 10+ he really is a favorite of mine.
I think Joseph Gordon Levitt is more indie than our indie king, Ryan Gosling. Big fan of both.
For his birthday, i will give him my totem, a hamburger phone (from Juno, his Inception co-star movie Ellen Page). He can’t touch it though, it will change the purpose of it. :)
Ole Marsha was born in '80, so I think that settles the debate.
However, I find myself judging year not by who was born that year, but by what won the BP Oscar. In this case it's "Ordinary People" unfortunately (though I don't know if that beats 81's "Chariots of Fire".)
Marsha -- if you were born in 80, you can't call yourself "Ole" yet i think. at least not for another 4 or 5 years ;)
Rick -- I always loved him but i tried to interview him once and it did not go well. Maybe it was an off day for me or for him or for both or ... well, it was not a good interview. But i still love him as an actor, minus Inception in which Tom Hardy blew him off the screen. How did JG-L let that happen? That said, JG-L gets Inception's best scene so it all comes out in the wash. i'm looking forward to all these new movies.
My dial goes to 11 for JGL.
I'd give him an OTK birthday spanking.
