Drop Dead Gorgeous!
I had just been expressing my love for Kirsten Dunst, and then here this was. Love this movie.
Drop Dead Gorgeous! A hidden diamond!
This is for real one of my favorite movies ever. Some of the funniest dialogue ever put on screen. And the acting is amazing, Kirsten Dunst, Kirstie Alley, Allison Janney, Denise Richards, Ellen Barkin. And it was Amy Adams first film role, who'd've guessed she would be the only one from the cast to get an Oscar nomination in the next 10 years?
Favorite line: "Best damn tapper, most smartest."
This one is funny!
I never get these but Drop Dead Gorgeous I knew immediately! We LOVE this one at our house. This is one of handful of movies that make me laugh -- deep belly laughs with tears -- every time. Thanks for putting it up there Nate.
Nick, totally agree-- this and another pageant movie, Miss Congeniality, are two of my absolute favorites of all time. My only complaint is that the movie loses a little magic at the state pageant and beyond.
"Miss Penthouse '98, close those legs. I could drive a boat show in there."
I don't get this movie at all -- i often love over the top but this one is invisible with altitude -- but i do know that a lot of you love it so i knew someone would guess it quick.
maybe it's denise richards who ruins it for me because she simply cannot act. but Amy Adams is fun in it for sure.
DDG is under-the-radar, over-the-top brilliant. (Although I agree Denise Richards nearly ruined it with her deadly lack of comic timing.. Why did they cast her?!) For me, Kirstie Alley, Ellen Barkin, Kirsten Dunst, Amy Adams, and Allison Janney were damn near perfect.
One of my fave's ever. Ellen Barkin was Hi-larious.
I actually did mind Richrds for once. Felt she could have been better, was she was well cast, and she came across and (rightfully) superior (like the no accent thing).
I'm with Nate, I never 'got' this one either. Although some bits are certainly fun like the 'swan ate my baby!' line.
A super dooper easy one!
DROP DEAD GORGEOUS!!!!!!!
