What sort of project do you think Mila Kunis should tackle for Oscar recognition? Comedy or drama? Any roles in particular?
Which actors and actresses can you see as our biggest cinematic hopes and why? Pick 10 actors and actresses.
Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams don't count! lol
If you had your way in Hollywood and you were allowed to greenlit a new musical, which actor and actress would you pick for leads?
Which pair of actors are you dying to see repeating their onscreen chemistry on a new movie? (Hint: Pfeiffer and Bridges don't count!)
Going back to 1980 out of the five nominees - who would you have handed the Best Actress Oscar to?
Who, in your opinion, should have the most Oscars?
Will 'Best Pictures from the Outside In' continue? This was always my favorite feature.
Ok, you have the opportunity to resurrect one classic director, to direct a modern actress/actor, and to resurrect a classic actress/actor to be directed by a modern director, wich you choose?
Is there one thing, one especially awful movie sin, that's guaranteed to make Nathaniel throw up his notebook in disgust?
julianne moore, michelle pfeiffer and meryl streep walk into a bar.....
what's the punchline?
hi nat
recast michelle in a julianne part and julianne in a michelle part any era!!!
Choose 5 actors and/or actresses without Oscar nominations and give them one for your favorite performance of their's.
Hey Nat can you name five African-American actors who need a big oscary role?
Fassbender has you on your...I mean if you could go down... I mean. What's your favorite Meryl Streep movie?
^ That made me lol.
Maria Bello, Evan Rachel Wood, Mila Kunis -- they all missed out on Oscar nominations after getting the Globe and SAG nominations. It even happened to Cameron Diaz TWICE. Why do you think that is? I know each case has a different story, but it's interesting to me.
P.S. Why do you think Oscar never took a liking to Jim Carrey?
Name three actresses who should make the leap from films to television
Not that i want you to alienate your audience, but are there any actresses, typically adored by actressexual types, who's appeal you just don't get? Or better yet any that you loathe?
something that i always think about when i'm watching a film is whether or not it achieved its full potential based on the film's concept or themes
sometimes i definitely feel that i can see what directors/actors/writers (etc) were trying to achieve, but it just doesn't always work out in the end
to me, the entire harry potter series would be a good example of this
just curious to see if theres any that you would add to the list??
Same here for Best Pictures From Outside In. Will it come back? My Favorite feature too.
What About Best Actress From The Outside In?
Do you have a favorite ensemble cast?
Also lately I have been on a Carlos Saura binge, and I think he and Geraldine Chaplin are such a good match, and I was wondering what director actress collaborations you find the most interesting?
Who are three actresses about whom you've experienced a Penelope Cruz-style about face in terms of your regard/respect for said actress? What were the roles that did it for each actress that made you think of them in a new way?
I know some like its campiness, but I think Valley of the Dolls could have been made into something amazing. If they were to remake it (probably would still be set in the 1960s), who would you cast in it? How would you improve it so it would be taken serious as a film representative of showbiz?
P.S. - Years ago I remember a remake being talked about with discussions of Beyonce for Patty Duke's role and Jennifer Aniston for the Barbara Parkins role. It was on one of those websites producers use.
If the Oscars gave out awards for trailers, what would clean up? What would be some all-time champs? I'm talking trailers that are intriguing pieces of work on their own right, like the one for "A Single Man." Or ones that made you think of something new, like just for a split second after seeing "Grey Gardens" I thought, "Hunh, maybe Drew Barrymore isn't such a horrible actress?"
If you could guarantee one stage musical from any time in history would be adapted to a film, what would it be?
Which of the four actors do you think has the biggest opportunity to drop the theatrical dramedy-ic ball in CARNAGE?
What is your theory on why Streep does not work with A-list directors. Those who are not fond of her say she wallows in her comfort zone, likes to direct herself and chooses lightweight directors who allow it, only cares about the scenes she is in, will not work with directors who do multiple takes.
Now that the Academy has expanded the Best Pic category, what about the acting categories? Other awards bodies sometimes nominate 6 actors to a single category, why not the academy? As we alll know, there is always at least one deserving nominee who gets the shaft, i.e. Ryan Gosling in Blue Valentine, Sally Hawkins in Happy-Go-Lucky, Tilda in Julia and I Am Love.
Take a character from one movie and put him/her to another one. Which character and which movie? Anorganized question, I know, but I'm curious.
Any plans to get married?
