Hug It Out w/ Busy Phillips
Congratulations to Friend of The Film Experience Joe Reid (Low Resolution), who you've heard on many an Oscar podcast here, for this magical event.
Joe is always singing the praises of actress Busy Phillips (who shoulda been an Emmy nominee for Cougar Town and was also super on Freaks & Geeks back in the day) and he did it on a podcast and... wowee... he got hugged!
Do you deserve a hug from your favorite celebrity? If so, who and why!?

The absence of love for Cougar Town is a mystery -- it's so fun! -- but I wonder if its off-putting name has something to do with it. Poor Busy (and Courteney Cox).
P.S. Penélope Cruz (but I'd want more than a hug).
Honestly, Anna Vissi. Maybe no one here knows her (great and very popular Greek singer, though not to "cultured" audiences) but I've been taking shit for loving for so many years and I've been defending her like crazy. She really needs to hug me hard and sing a song the lyrics of which will be written by me (is that correct? anyway).
It's been really hard I tell ya! It's like Nick with Mariah.
I don't know there's anyone famous I deserve a hug from. I have a few celebrity stories. I'll share one. Jenette Goldstein, who any regular person on the street wouldn't recognize had they hadn't recently purchased the Alien Quadrilogy dvd boxset to inform them of what she looks like today would've stopped her. She was in Saks Fifth Avenue on Rodeo Drive -- minding her own business and I did what you're not suppose to do when you see stars in LA -- I stopped her! Not only did she look uncomfortable she wanted to get the hell out of the story because of me. It wasn't funny then but I'm sharing it anyhow.
I love Cougar Town SO. MUCH. The three women -- Busy, Courteney and my personal favorite, um, Ellie -- rule.
Mareko -- she's taken!
Caden -- careful. Ellie will bite.
3rtfull -- oh no that's terrible. haha. I liked her in those Cameron movies myself. Its weird that she had such issues as i suspect it doesn't happen alot.
Busy Philips' arc from smart blonde to dumb but nuanced blonde is something I don't mind. And yes, Cougar Town is just relentless middle class esoteric comedy, and if there's a season of a show I'll watch for the rest of my life, it'll be CT's second. Hoping the third is awesome too.
But yeah, if I get a hug from Philips' bff Michelle Williams, rainbows would come out of our chests.
I would die if I got hugged by Julianne Moore, Lady GaGa, Kylie Minogue or Madonna haha.
