Those Who Have Gone "Before..."

I have never been as nervous about watching a film as I was when I sat down to see Before Midnight. It did not disappoint.

First & Last: 'something off the port bow'

the first and last images from a motion picture. Always with the water, I tell you... years of doing this feature has taught me that more filmmakers like to begin and end on shots of water than any other single image.

first line

Cap! Something off the port bow."

[hint: that something is pretty gruesome]

last line?

[not really. a man shaves and a woman tries on clothes.]

Can you guess the movie?

I would've said Splash, but Splash in not "grotesque" so I'll go with Crusing.

Cruising is such a good movie and a scary one.
