Everyone should watch the first Heimat immediately because it's stunning long form mythmaking and Terrence Malick nicked a scene from it for the ending of The Tree of Life. If you haven't seen it, you're in for a giant treat.
Arrested Development - It's Completely Hilarious - You Should Be Thrown in Jail!
Everyone should watch Parks and Recreation immediately because it's the best comedy on TV. If you haven't seen it, what are you waiting for?!
Everyone should watch Safety Not Guaranteed immediately because it's rare to see a science fiction film put this much effort into character and plot development. If you haven't seen it, it's a funny ensemble piece anchored on the idea that no one knows for sure what could happen in the future.
Before Sunrise and Before Sunset.
The third is filming this summer.
My favorite films of all time.
Most romantic,
true to life;
if you were to melt me down and mold me back up into celluloid,
they are what I'd be.
Beau -- that's beautiful. But don't you worry about a third one? What if it's not everything we dreamed it could be. Seems like they could only get sadder right?
Alex -- the jails would be so overcrowded (unfortunately)
Everyone should watch The Iron Lady immediately because Meryl Streep's performance is over the top, in spite of a flawed film. If you haven't seen it you're missing out on one of the greatest performances this century, at a minimum.
Everyone should see Once Upon a Time in the West immediately because it is the finest Western ever made. If you haven't seen it yet prepare to be amazed by the glorious quartet of Fonda, Cardinale, Bronson, and Robards.
Everyone should watch the 1938 version of Pygmalion with Leslie Howard and Wendy Hiller immediately because it's much better than My Fair Lady. If you haven't seen it, the Criterion Collection has it for cheap!
@brandz
No I'm not. The only way I'd even consider watching that movie if the Academy ever gets around to awarding Viola Davis Best Actress, Won't Back Down, Supporting Actress is a genuine joke to these people, makes sense that Judy Davis would lose it, and Tilda Swinton would win for her involvement in a boring studio movie, playing a plain Jane corporate villain.
Everyone should watch Klute immediately because Jane Fonda is criminally underrated and might have given the best performance (outside of Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara) in the history of Hollywood cinema. If you haven't seen it that's ok,I just saw it tonight, just go watch it now.
Everyone should watch Penelope Spheeris' film Suburbia (1984) immediately because it's the best film about squatting punks ever made. If you haven't seen it that's okay, I'm not all judgey and stuff. Relax. It's not the end of the world. Just watch it if you get a chance. - Or don't. It's all good. Maybe just watch Liquid Sky or The Dreamlife of Angels or something else about young people struggling. Watch what you want. Hey! The House Bunny is on. Seeya.
everyone should watch the conan clip where they send jack mcbrayer and a friend to chicago's the weiner's circle immediately because it's hilarity of the highest order. if you haven't seenit, you shall go to bed tonight a little less happy than me.

Everyone should watch PSYCHO immediately AGAIN because IT IS: one of the greatest examples of Modern Filmmaking - recently watched it and was blown away by Hitchs magic.. and can purely not understand why Anthony Perkins wasn't even nominated ???? - I do like Burt Lancasters performances but can't recall Elmer Gantry - so cant judge - but Perkins delivers pure GOLD . If you haven't seen it - GO MAD ;) !
Everyone should watch A Place in the Sun immediately because Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor are the quintessence of glamour and chemistry in it. If you haven't seen it, you'll be able to have one of Taylor's first (and best) adult performances fresh in your mind when the Lohan stuff starts saturating the media.
Everyone should watch A Woman Under The Influence immediately because it's the best movie from my favorite director and it has the best performance ever captured on film. If you haven't seen it youcan't agree with John Cameron Mitchell, that wrote a beautiful text about this movie on the The Film That Changed My Life column of The Guardian. Here's an excerpt:
"I don't know if he's the "best" director of those I admire, but he remains my favourite. And this is still probably my favourite film. It forces a kind of empathy on the viewer that they're not used to experiencing, by its detail, its truth and by its hope at the end. His compassion for his darkest characters is incredibly inspiring. Whenever I see films that make me feel like I'm closed off from the world, I try to see his films and get that empathy back.
"When I left the theatre I spent the whole day haunted. It made me look at the world in a different way: seeing the details, seeing the people differently. The whole film is like a giant window into another person's soul and it doesn't close after you see it.
"Gena Rowlands's performance is the greatest performance I've ever seen on film. As a director it's a deal breaker for me if the actor isn't good, or as real as possible, and that comes from watching this film. To me, an actor will always be a partner rather than a pawn. Cassavetes always wanted to be surprised by his actors. He'd keep them off balance and tell them not to stay on book but to paraphrase and improvise. He was an actor's best friend, and that's what I learned from him. I'll always be an actor's director."
brandz - while I can't agree with your assessment of Streep's performance, thank you for using 'over the top' without making it a negative thing. So many people (including critics) use 'over the top' as a critique of an actor or a performance. It always makes me wonder if these people actually know any people in real life. There are plenty of grandiose, over the top people in real life, so why is it a problem when it's someone in a film?
Everyone should watch The Red Shoes immediately because it is so much more wonderful, beautiful, and weird than you could possibly imagine . If you haven't seen it I will assume it is because you don't like ballet, and will tell you that it isn't even really about that, but about Art and what goes into making Art, and the ballet sequence is really one of the most audacious things ever filmed.
This comes because a good friend of mine saw it for the first time this past week and was literally struck dumb by it, so I rewatched it this weekend and found that it was so much more than I ever remembered.
