I'm convinced Carol Channing is never going to die. She's immortal. She toured when she was in her 70s. Now she's in her 90s and she's doing a Hello Dolly special? Incredible.
The best they could come up with for the Flash movie was Greg Berlanti's team of writers. I'll remind people: A great Rogues Gallery should mean the studio can lure a genuinely great creative team (meaning...not freaking Berlanti) and be confident they'll give you the best movie they can with whatever budget you assign them and whatever run time they feel is justified (For DC, that means Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and The Flash should EASILY justify giving ACTUAL TALENT $150 million plus budgets and a (max) runtime of 3 hours) and a terrible Rogues Gallery means, no matter how important the hero may otherwise be (and yes, I AM talking Wonder Woman here), the budget and running time should actually be EXTREMELY limited (with the gallery she has, Wonder Woman's MAX budget for a first movie should be $80 million and her maximum running time should be 110 minutes.) Someone in between those two extremes of quality (Green Arrow, most notably actually has a better overall gallery), could justify a relative mid size at a $110-$115 million opening entry.
Addendum: And they would justify a maximum 140 minute run time.
