Get Out Party Chatter

"Thanks for this. It made me think about the time my dad saw Dr. Strangelove in a theatre in Japan. He was the only person laughing. Different communities can have such opposite reactions to the same movie. This is something I love about movies, and also why they're so important. Movies really do help us see and understand others' experiences, often even better than news report/footage." - Cash

Curio: Julie Alberti's Faces

Alexa here. Julie Alberti is an artist who watches a lot of movies and loves unique faces. She works in porcelain, paper and clay to create some really clever pieces that celebrate her love of Steve Buscemi, Christopher Walken, Shelly Duvall, Buster Keaton and Cole Porter, among others.

She reuses old porcelain tableware like a master; I've fallen hard for these Steve Buscemi plates. Click for more including a Peter Lorre doll, Buster Keaton pendants, and Christopher Walken teapot!

There's more -- available for purchase -- at her Julie Alberti's shop.

These only prove that Elijah Wood is going to grow into Steve Buscemi in his middle-age years.

If I finished my soup to find Steve Buscemi staring at me I'd probably s**t myself

Troy - LOL!

Carlos -- so true. Buscemi is just *not* appetizing.
