New "Under The Skin" Posters in the Order That They Freak Me Out
From a floating iris that seems to have an infinite sclera (aiiiyeeee) to the foggy beauty of Scarlett Johansson. Here they are...
Jonathan Glazer's third film, a whole decade after Birth and Sexy Beast (both marvelous) cannot open soon enough. 22 more days until we can be watching alien Scarlett devour or seduce or do whatever it is she does to unsuspecting hitchhikers in Scotland.
It's so hard to keep from reading about it!
P.S. We haven't talked about this at all but is anyone else freaked out that Scarlett Johansson is basically moving to France to have babies with Romain Dauriac just as she was finally becoming the actress we all wanted her to be!

I read the book years ago. Will be VERY interesting to see how they adapt it. But yes, going in without any pre-conceptions is the way to go
I've seen the movie and Glazer proves again in his third feature that he is brillant as is the movie.
I saw it at BFI LFF and it was my favorite from the festival in October. Looking forward to seeing it again when it opens out here this week. That score still kills me and basically creeps back in anytime I think of trees.
The fact that ScarJo is abandoning us to procreate is hard to take, but then again...the idea of her having offspring is one of the most glorious things I can think of. The world NEEDS more Scarlett Johanssons. Besides, if this means that she'll be learning French and immersing herself in the culture, and the films, then maybe we'll get to see her pairing up with The Dardenne Brothers or Jacques Audiard, which would just about be the most amazing thing ever.
Maybe she wants to be the next Kristen Scott Thomas and not the next Nicole Kidman. Moving to France could certainly be... interesting for her acting career if she chooses it to.

It IS tragic Scarlett's pregnant--- seriously. It's tragic that Olivia Wilde's pregnant too. They will prioritize (as they should) their kid(s) but it'll influence / alter their careers, which is a shame if you happen to be a fan. They'll probably work less, they'll probably take safer roles in safer movies, no edgy risky stuff.
They''ll want to work close to home, so they'll turn down possibly great roles in possibly great movies if the shoot's too far away.
Nicole Kidman is an exception, she seems determined to work A LOT
and keeps doing interesting projects, not just run-of-the-mill movies. Her kids will probably grow up to hate her one day, in a Joan Crawford sorta way, but hey, WE appreciate it, Nicole!
If there is a God, don't let Mary Elizabeth Winstead become a mother Mary too soon. Same goes for Anne Hathaway (gasp! yes, somebody actually likes her). .Ditto Rebecca Hall--- Sam Mendes, keep those rubbers on, mister!.
Mia Wasikowska better wait too. Keep working with those auteurs.
BTW, love the posters, particularly the "undressing one"---very evocative. Can I get that in extra large, please?
Can't wait for this movie.
Just because actresses get pregnant does not mean they stop working. It is terrible that you people are saying this. I'm happy for Johansson and believe she will not sacrifice her career. Also you should not be wishing women not to have babies as it is one of the most special moments.
