Cannes Beauty: Jess & Jess

BFFs Jessica Chastain and Jess Weixler (best known for Teeth and The Good Wife but she plays Chastain's sister in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby) hit the Cannes Film Festival. Great gowns, yes?

Why isn't Jess Weixler a huge star? She is gorgeous, white and incredibly talented. Was Teeth too scary for Hollywood?

I'm still waiting for the Kings to name Jess Weixler as Good Wife regular. Am I alone on wanting this to happen?

Chastain's dress is great. Blue rocks!
Not a fan of the other Jess' dress, but it's not bad either.

Is Hilary Swank headed toward her 3rd Oscar nom seeing how the great reviews for The Homesman have started coming in.

Damn! Jessica Chastain is stunning. She is not conventionally beautiful but manages to look amazing every single time.

Hmmm, The Homesman reviews I have been seeing on my feed have been pretty mixed. Then again, Westerns, particularly non-revisionists ones, are probably pretty old hat to a lot of critics today. I can see if an adaptation by a well-known Western writer who wrote The Shootist may not be everyone's cup of tea. I like Jones and Swank and the supporting cast is pretty darn solid. It might be this year's Nebraska where the mixed reception at the festival has no bearing on how it does in the States.

Anyway, Chastain looks stunning. As much as I want Adams to finally happen, I can easily see of 'Harvey's Girls' that I will probably think Cotillard in The Immigrant and Chastain in Eleanor Rigby rise above the other actresses he'll put up for Oscar consideration.

Jessica Chastain is a classic beauty, and Jess Weixler is gorgeous, too. Both are wonderful in 'Eleanor Rigby.'

I can't wait til the moment Chastain wins an oscar
And Weixler is amazing in The Good Wife
By the way, why we don't talk about The Good Wife more in here, it's one of the most actressexual shows on tv right now
