Bring Spider-Man Home

Don't remember the context of this photo of Jamie Dornan with a Spider-Man figurine but I look at it once in a while and giggle. We shouldn't speak for him but let's guess that Jamie Dornan is excited that Spider-Man Homecoming hits DVD and BluRay today. Should we take a second look at it? Would you read if we did? (It's always difficult to know whether you TFE readers like talking about movies when they're in theaters, or wait until they're streaming or on DVD or all three...?)

Speaking for myself, I mostly get movies from the library as soon as they come out on DVD.

Amory -- so would you welcome more coverage tied to DVD releases or do you like reading about things when they're still in theaters?

I'll read anything on a movie I'm interested in regardless of it is currently in theaters or out on DVD. I read most of the articles posted, but I tend to only respond to them if I feel the desire to add my voice to the discussion. I haven't seen enough recent movies sadly even though I want to (I really need to get into a theater to see Battle of the Sexes and Blade Runner 2049).

I can't wait to hear your thoughts on Lady Macbeth (free on Amazon Prime in the UK, if anyone is from these parts).

Very challenging, weirdly thrilling, might be problematic (though any film using this much "colour-blind casting" in a period movie deserves some level of applause).

And the ending. That ending.

A bit of critic's awards love for Florence Pugh, Cosmo Jarvis (and the film itself) would be well-deserved...

Just a vote here for either way. If you see the movie on DVD and want to talk about it, by all means go ahead. We don't all get to see every movie the weekend they're released, so staggered conversations make sense to me.
