Surprise "Bound" reunion (and a little Sense8, too)

Gina Gershon and Jennifer Tilly on the beach together this week (courtesy of Tilly's twitter feed)

Then Joe Pantoliano piped in...

Yes, the age of social media can be annoying but it also gives us perpetual delights like this! If you've never seen Bound (1996) you're only hurting yourself. It's still the best film the Wachowski sisters ever made (yes, it's way better than The Matrix)

After some rough years of strange diminishing returns the Wachowskis have been killing it again, don't you think? Sense8 may not be perfect but it's perfect for their ever more complex and totally earnest 'we are more than our bodies, genitals, and skin colors' humanism. Plus it feels like an organic natural extension of all the libidinous kooky sci-fi spirituality of previous projects

Are you watching Sense8's second season? I'm only two episodes in but so far there's no sensate orgy sequence. Denied!

Aw, I love Joey Pantoliano. The dude can sing as well.

The siblings did write the line for Tilly "I know who I am." Makes sense they secretly felt like her the whole time filming.

I haven't seen it in ages but I recently saw Gershon in Killer Joe. What a pro!

I LOVE Sense8. Pantoliano makes a cameo in season 1.

Also love Sense8 and totally agree with you about how it's the natural product of all their different sensibilities. And it's so great to watch an hour-long drama that's also FUN and colorful and sexy and thoughtful and expansive across the globe. Definitely not perfect (some bad dialogue, too many slow-mo montages to pad the story) but very welcome, especially as a palate cleanser between Handmaid's Tale episodes.
