I miss Obama. He was great giving speeches and bombing countries.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterTracy

And four for you, Beto. You go, Beto!

And none for Ted Cruz. Bye.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterEvan

I miss Barack Obama, too. No one in his administration was indicted.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterSuzanne

I'm hoping Trump serves two terms. One in federal prison and one in state prison.

Now I will vote and watch Election.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered Commenterbrookesboy

happy election watching to you, nat, and to all TFE readers!

it's like oscar night, but with less camp and more nuclear anxiety.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterCharles O

I already voted early! Democracy is sexy.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterTyler

Voted this morning. Now I'm heading to my nearest Democratic Party headquarters to boost turnout and I recommend everyone here do the same.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterRobert

Bush is such a lovely guy now. He's besties with Michelle!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterGandhi

Wait a minute: Didn't Damian commit voter fraud by stuffing the ballot box in favor of Gretchen and Janis?!?

In all seriousness, everyone vote!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterCash

Voting = a great way to battle anxiety. Please let's have lots of good news on Wednesday morning (and afterwards). Hashtag Blue Wave...

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterRob

Just voted STRAIGHT DEMOCRAT here in Philly!!!

GO BLUE!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterDAVID

@DAVID I am with you! Will be voting straight Democratic here in Philly too. This is one of the most important elections in our lifetime. Our human rights are being eroded by the Republicans.

Every LGBT, people of color and women need to get out there and cast their ballot. No excuses this time.

I have been listening to Streisand's WALLS album trying to muster up hope for our country. It is a patriotic protest album and her vocals are outstanding.

I never thought I'd ever say this but I wish I was in Texas - so I could vote for Beto.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered Commenterken s.

Ken -- the only time in my life i've wished I liived there! Hope he wins so that we can have him as President one day

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterNATHANIEL R

If he loses, Beto needs to move to a state that deserves him.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterBruno

Hey Gay Senior, I've been listening to the album too, just to try and give myself a little hope. And as Barbra herself has said due to her tying vote for Best Actress, no one knows better than her the power of just one vote!

The I Voted selfies are the living proof of our national stupidity.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterSamsung

Voting today! But a hard No to a Beto presidential bid.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered Commenterbeyaccount

Carrie Coon just voted!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterSamsung

Contrary to Samsung's dismissal, I like the I Voted selfies. It's the selfie as a political act. Nothing wrong with that!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterRob

¡Yo voté temprano!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterMareko

I love the "I voted" selfies!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterTheis

i loved the I VOTED selfies too. It's a great way to inspire fellow Americans to get out there and do their civic duty and to congratulate yourself for doing the same

November 6, 2018 | Registered CommenterNATHANIEL R

Anyone on here voting for Beto in Texas? I really hope he can pull this off.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterMarco G.

If your contribution to society happens once a year
you’re not doing anything

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterSamsung

I voted this morning and it was PACKED. It took me almost 90 minutes start to finish. I felt encouraged by the turnout. Keeping my fingers crossed that we get some good news ...

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterJJM

I barely can't pay my rent but I'm voting Blue! They got the best celebrities!

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterSocialite

@Samsung: thank you for blanket judgement call on everyone. Sorry we're not all as advanced as you.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterRob

Thank you Rob

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered Commenterken s.

I didn't vote and I refuse to. After 2 miserable experiences in 2000 and 2016, what's the point that things will change? Even if the choices are essentially between a shit sandwich and a giant douche?

Fuck democracy. It's a dead concept that can be bought.

November 6, 2018 | Unregistered Commenterthevoid99

Spoiler alert.

Beto narrowly lost. The repukes retained the senate and the democrats won the house. trump tweeted it was a successful night and tracy - above - posted absolute BS about President Obama. Tell me again tracy how many countries trump has bombed. Well we know he doesn't make any great speeches.

November 7, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterBette Streep

What a shame. trump trolls have infiltrated this group. And I thought this was a group that film lovers and pro-LGBTQI people could enjoy conversations with each other.

November 7, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterBette Streep

I'm not a Trump voter but I won't whitewash decades of Democrats doing nothing.

Elections are not the new Oscars. Grow up. Read.

November 7, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterTracy

Tracy -- while I infinitely disagree that Democrats "do nothing," i would like to state that doing nothing is INFINITELY superior to actively trying to oppress, jail, discriminate, and kill people which The Republicans are fond of promoting or actually doing.

thevoid99 -- then you're part of the problem. If everyone in the country voted every time, we would not be where we are. Poll after poll shows that the numbers are actually with Democrats and progressive values but due to gerrymandering, voter suppression, on the GOP side and voter apathy or disillusionment on the more progressive side, making actual progress is very difficult. Life is not perfect. Candidates are not perfect. But if you don't choose the better option, you are helping choose this regime which is ripping babies from their mothers and encouraging white supremacist violence, so.... uh... congrats?

November 7, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterNATHANIEL R

As a Canadian I am not subjected or subjugated directly by Trump and the authoritarian GOP, but he is a curse on this world.
So I thank you for voting. I mean that very sincerely, Thank you.

”This is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” - Winston Churchill, who clearly spoke about Trump in 2018.
The odds were stacked against Democrats, but you have the House, and it's investigative committees who will now undertake to protect Americans instead of obscuring the truth.
Also you gained 5 Governors in states that matter greatly in 2020. Chairman Maxine Waters alone,is going to cause a lot of sleepless nights in the White House.
Your vote got you a beachhead and now more battles will continue.
Please don't give up.

November 7, 2018 | Unregistered CommenterLadyEdith

This is sure to be an interesting movie but bad ice cream hasn't seen it so can't rate it.
