Dinner with... Mrs Peacock
Sunday, April 19, 2020 at 8:30PM
First course: Red wine. Shark's fin soup. Slurping and silence...
Well, someone's got to break the ice, and it might as well be me -- I'm used to being a hostess, it's part of my husband's work and it's always difficult when a group of new friends meet together for the first time, to get acquainted so I'm perfectly prepared to start the ball rolling. I mean, I-I have absolutely no idea what we're doing here, or what I'm doing here, or what this place is about, but I am determined to enjoy myself and I'm very intrigued, and, oh my, this soup's delicious, isn't it?
...
Well, someone had to break the ice! It might as well have been her.

My favorite movie of all time!!!
It came out the year I was born, but I first saw it when I was around 8 years old. Several adult jokes went over my head, but I loved it so much, I rented it from the video store quite often.
Too bad it was a critical bomb. I loved the cast and would have given Oscar nominations to the script (would it be considered an Adapted Screenplay?) and both Tim Curry and Madeline Kahn. Kahn’s “flames on the side of my face” scene by her was improvised, by the way, and the looks of confusion by the cast were all genuine!
As far as Eileen Brennan goes, she was hysterical as well, and, in my book, could have scored a nomination, too. Her main introduction during the dinner scene is fantastic, as are several of her scenes. Her comedic timing is just so excellent throughout. And pay attention to her when her character isn’t the focus. She never breaks character and is absolutely hilarious in the background!
This movie, in which three legendary character actresses give perfect performances, was such an easy swerve into actressexuality for so many 80s kids.
When I first started reading oscar lists, it felt right to learn that all 3 had been nominees in their lives.
Brennan, Kahn, and Warren all should have gotten supporting actress nominations!
It's one of her favorite recipes
Is there a bad performance in this film? No.
Is there a single joke or gag that doesn’t land? No.
Is this film perfect? A resounding yes.
A film that is so fun to watch as well as the fact that everyone is a suspect and all of the scenarios.
Love this movie, which I shamefully saw for the first time only last year!
Warren and Kahn (in that order) make my Supporting Actress ballot...
"Don't you touch me" at random furniture always gives me the biggest laugh

you must not get out much.
If anyone is interested, on Instagram, but this week I'm posting my Clue Cartoons and swear they're super cute.

I love this movie and Peacock is everything.
I know its very shallow , but Colleen Camp's bosom is insane..... SPOILER ALERT , the way she sort of hangs the noose around her own neck is hilarious
