First & Last - Season Finale

Can you guess the movie from its first and last shot? For the season finale of this little guessing game series, we thought this was an appropriate note to end on...

or rather notes ♫♪♪ to end on because what a send off.

If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing
And

Always look on the bright side of life
(Come on)
Always look on the right side of life

For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin
Give the audience a grin
Enjoy it, it's your last chance anyhow

So always look on the bright side of death
A just before you draw your terminal breath

Life's a piece of shit
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughin' as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you

And

Always look on the bright side of life

Yes, It's Monty Python's The Life of Brian. And that finale has to be one of the greatest jokes ever told in their storied comic repertoire which stretched from 1969 through 1983.

Surely it's Life of Brian (1979), not The Meaning of Life??!!

Boggles the mind btw that Always Look on the Bright Side of Life went without an Oscar nom.

Dieter -- uff. I'm so embarrassed. You're so right. I think because I think of MEANING OF LIFE too often, I just was typing away and my brain went there.

The post has been fixed.

I knew it was The Life of Brian by its first shot. A masterpiece and it needs to be seen more by a wide audience.

I always loved that song yet I always mistook the line as "It seems Johnny Rotten"

What have the Romans ever done for us?

The first and last often carry a sense of bittersweet anticipation. It's a reminder that we'll soon have to bid farewell to characters we've grown attached to and a storyline that's become a part of our lives.Buy coursework Marketing assignment uk
