Breakfast With... Holly Golightly

A cup of coffee and a croissant... a classic New York breakfast.

What did you have / What are you having this morning? And which movie was the first one you thought of today?

Lemsip and a sesame bread roll for me and I thought of Wolverine because I watched it last night. It was so bad I couldn't believe adults had made it! It was just a long series of terrible set-pieces with nothing between them. How could a film about Hugh Jackman being a mutant with a metal skeleton be so dull? But I still think it would have been cool to see an Aronofsky sequel.

OMG I was SO Holly Golightly today! Except, since I am coming down with a cold, I had tea in my coffee cup instead. Just don't tell anyone!

Movie on my mind? The Artist. WIll it just go wide already?!?!?!?! Those ads are everywhere and I'm just starting to get angry that I can't actually see the damn thing.

Frosted Mini-Wheats and coffee with evaporated milk. I woke up to an interview on NPR with Diablo Cody about Young Adult, which just made me want to see it more!

Steamed swiss chard with sea salt and sesame seeds, plus 2 cups black tea with soymilk. (I'm going to make up for it with pancakes for lunch, of course.) Cinematically? I was actually thinking about the comment someone made here the other day about Kirsten Dunst's AMPAS chances having evaporated (damn), and the outright silliness of "banning" Lars von Trier from Cannes.

Just coffee.

My movie obsession is Shame (I haven't seen it).
Every day I have to go to get treatment for my injured foot. There, I get Magneto-terapia . No kidding, I couldn't help but giggle the first time they told me.Unfortunately it doesn't include Fassy in Magneto outfit giving you a massage. Not even Ian McKellen. And in my way to that place I have to face past memories of wild sex adventures in the top floor of a nearby skycrapper with a guy I used to date. Yes, just at the window (like in Shame) because the possibility to be seen added some excitement. No sex addiction involved (fortunately) just pure stupidity, but he was no Fassy either (unfortunately).

Just coffee. I woke up thinking about TV, specifically Hell on Wheels.

Only fruit in the morning. Two tangerines, usually, and some watermelon.

Had a disjointed breakfast of a Hot Pocket and cereal.

Actually don't remember the first movie I thought of today, but my American Film History final is today, and I've been studying a whole lot for it, so I've got tons of movies on my mind!

I ate a breakfast burrito from a food truck with some Mexican hot chocolate. It was delicious! Movie-wise, I've been thinking whether to see Carnage or not. A number of people and critics seem down on it, though how can I miss Kate and Jodie together in a movie?!

Tea and a cream cheese bagel. The Doris Day starrer "Love Me or Leave Me" heard a song from it and realized I haven't watched it in years. Will have to correct that, I always thought it was her best performance and the music is great.

Coffee, an organic apple, greek yogurt and a protein shake (I weight train). And the first movie I thought about is the one I watched last night on Netflix -- The Man from London -- and how unfortunate it was that Tilda Swinton's screen time was so short and that her performance was dubbed in French. I just assumed that she could speak fluent French.

An extra-large coffee and cheese croissants. I guess my first movie thought was either of TTSS or Shame, both of which I saw on Friday. (TTSS is definitely one of my favourites of the year. As for Shame...Fassbinder was fantastic, but I found the movie kinda dragged...the overuse of Baroque-ish music got on my nerves...and I really was disappointed in Carey Mulligan.)
