Fassbender, Fretting

Well Michael Fassbender does have a lot to worry about. How the hell is he going to follow up 2011? Fassy may only have two films in theaters this year (Haywire already released. Prometheus is next) but what will 2013 hold beyond Twelve Years A Slave, his third collaboration with Steve McQueen? Stay tuned.

I say for absolute awesomeness he and Jessica Chastain should tag team and pick their multiple project years together. Better yet, a movie which pairs them together.

Can you imagine having every two years a Year of Chassbender? (or Fasstain?)

I'm much more worried about Gosling. Because after The Year of the Goz, that began with Blue Valentine actually but that doesn't matter, he lined up SO many different projects they can't possibly all work.

And I feel he'll wear us down by 2013. Something I wish I'd never say about the Goz.

@Jorge
I think Gos' supporting in most of his upcoming flicks? I think he's lead in that martial arts film but that's it. I sure hope he won't wear us down. Really warmed up to him last year.

I am looking forward to seeing Fassy playing an android! And I read he just signed for X-Men FC2. I can't believe I am saying this about a comic book movie but I can't wait!

I was sick.
I saw three pics of Fassy.
Still sick.
My disease is fatal, apparently.

he is tooooooo sexy!

God he has a massive face!

Anyway, Jane Eyre was my favourite of those but I thought his accent was a bit off at points. Not distractingly so (though it was a bit in X-Men) but I wonder if this will be a problem in other films? I breathed a small sigh of relief when he said Ridley Scott wouldn't let him do a South African accent in Prometheus at that roundtable that was linked here recently. I have no idea of what to expect from that film- it could go any way. It wouldn't surprise me if it was terrible or brilliant or boring. I hope it's good.

And I'm kind of sad they're making a sequel to X-Men First Class- I did not like that film at all. I suppose when you have that cast already locked in it's an easy decision. I haven't really liked any of the X-Men films though. And it was better than Wolverine (possibly the faintest praise imaginable).

Jorge--I'm actually feeling pretty optimistic about Gosling right now. He's in two of my most anticipated movies for this year: "Gangster Squad" and "The Place Beyond the Pines." I'm more than ready for a second round of the Year of the Goz!

I wouldnt worry about Fassbender, everyone in the industry is talking about him. Judging from awards shows - Clooney, Mindy Kaling - and all the press he gets. He will be fine.
