we didn't see a movie but we've seen 4 in 2 weeks in a frantic Oscar catch-up effort.
We had a lovely dinner, I got flowers & a gooey card, and sex was involved
So we're good.

I did nothing on VDay but I saw Funny Games US last night with friends. I have weird friends.
I pretty much went on with my day as usual: writing, gym, writing, sleep. Don't hate Valentine's Day, just had no reason to participate.
Had a single ladies night in with a friend and watched Celeste And Jesse Forever and some Madonna videos.
My guy and I are doing the long distance thing for a few more months. So after a FaceTime chat I watched Gone with the Wind and Lady and the Tramp.
It was a good day.

I watched Amour for the first time and loved it!
God, I love SJP. I wish she'd resume her status as a goofy character actress in comedic supporting roles. She grates and her movies flop because she believes she deserves to be a headlining leading lady. But think about it—Hocus Pocus, The First Wives Club—her ability to steal a scene is incredible. Even her ability to disappear into roles was impressive back then, which you could never say about her today.
But all that said, she's so lovely and dorky and sincere that I'm just glad she's still invited to the party.
when to see "Amour" for the second time (It is THAT good).
Emmanuelle Riva gives one of the best performance by an actress since, since, well since a very, VERY long time! The fact that they "snub" J-L. Trintignant is such a shame considering the Best Actor categorie is a REAL snooze fest this year...
That special someone is out of town, so I kicked back and watched Black Swan. I've since turned that decision into a Women Who Lie to Themselves (Psychosis Division) marathon, with The Piano Teacher yesterday and Mulholland Dr. today.
Will we ever get SATC 3? As bad as SATC 2 was, I would still pay money to see another one.

@Nathaniel: Thought "When Harry Met Sally..." was the overall best movie, though I loved Roberts in "My Best Friend's Wedding." Better than Hunt in '97 for sure.
I watched The Big Lebowski.
Joe Versus The Volcano is my favorite Hanks-Ryan pairing. If for nothing else, their weird dynamics got nothing on the weirdness in YGM and SIS. Stalking and trolling are not my ideas of a relationship.
I grew tired of SATC during the last season and the films did nothing to bring me back. That said, I love SJP (Carrie Bradshaw, however...) and I hear nothing except 'class-act' about her from friends who have met her.
