Happy St. Patrick's Day !

It's the one day of the year in which it's not easy being green...

Have fun but play safe. So no Hulk smashing. And don't drink too much (absinthe).

Any big plans?

Why put the film version of Green Lantern on here? Don't you have a Green Lantern comic you can scan and splice a drawn version of Alan Scott, Hal Jordan, John Stewart, Guy Gardner or Kyle Rayner onto here?

/3rtful -- he never played anyone green

volvag -- because these are all, uh, movie characters.

Or find someone else green then? You said it's a terrible movie, so why glorify it?

He has The Riddler from Batman Forever in there as well and that's no masterpiece, so why not Green Lantern? Anyway, I didn't know it was St. Patrick's Day until five hours ago, so I don't have any plans. Hell, even if I knew I wouldn't have any plans because I don't celebrate the holiday (nor do I drink, lol).

Daniel: It's no masterpiece, but it's fun enough to excuse.

Well TCM has a couple of Irish oldies on tonight. Most interesting is "Young Cassidy," with Rod Taylor in his prime...and Julie Christie on the brink, and Dame Edith Evans in a cameo.

Happy St. Patryk's Day all.

Did Green Lantern end with Ryan Reynolds' career? I finf him far more interesting than, let's say... Henry Cavill.

iggy: Did it end Ryan Reynolds career as someone major and important in the mainstream? Probably. Though, X-Men Origins: Wolverine probably didn't help. Personally: If Will Arnett decided to buff up for it, I'd buy that as Deadpool.

The Green Lantern probably killed a lot of momentum for a Justice League movie- and I know that is still supposed to happen but they seem to not even know which Batman to bring in. Reynolds probably needed a break at this point anyway. But boy, he really tried. Check out his interactions with GL fans at Comic-Con.

That said, I was really rooting for Reynolds getting a Deadpool movie. Robert Rodriguez wanted to direct and have it work exactly like the comic with the 4th world breaking.
