Oh I was so excited to click that "Great Movies" link, but ugh, what's the point of giving that lists that title when you're just going to recommend the same kind of movies that DO make it to Great Film lists? I like a lot of the movies I see on here, but white male protagonist in mystery/action/thriller is hardly a new kind of voice being added to the canon. Where's the list like this that makes a case for forgotten romantic comedies? Or for black films and filmmakers? Or for Bollywood?
I'm fine with Burstyn and Linney winning. I openly disliked AHS: Asylum and I still haven't seen Top of the Lake.
PS I really thought you would link us to Cheyenne's video ;)
You know that a director is really underrated when he can't even make in these alternative lists.
I don't care: Love Streams and A Woman Under the Influence are still the best movies of all time.
