Nicole Kidman ♥ed Jimmy Fallon (Emphasis Past Tense)

This is going on my list of greatest talk show moments of all time.

Nicole Kidman once had a crush on Jimmy Fallon and their first meeting was disastrous. Hilarity ensues. They have an extremely difficult time getting back on topic: Paddington, her new film opening in one week's time. Love Nicole's honking laugh. I'll never understand the perception of her as chilly - so warm and funny in person. Maybe she needs a great romantic comedy to shift perceptions?

The ten minutes of this interview are the best romantic comedy since the 90's. I laughed, I cringed, I died. Watch the Box Of Lies bit they did after as a bonus! So fun. http://youtu.be/B47Vtsw10eg

If it's not dark comedy, this woman should never ever ever ever ever ever try any kind of comedy again.

Love Nicole.

She's anything but chilly. Her interviews with Letterman in particular are some of the funniest I have ever seen. She's so goofy and hilarious.

These two clips are delightful. Who knew that Jimmy Fallon would be the one to finally help people see the sexy, silly, shy side of Nicole?! And, man, she's cheeky going for that last choice of lie in the game! I always loved her but now...

Nikki is warm and funny in real life. She just can't be funny in the movies.

loved this!

and nicole was very funny in "moulin rouge" when she had to be.

January 7, 2015 | Unregistered Commentermarcelo

Yeah-she's fabulously funny in interviews in real life, but light comedy is not her acting forte.

That being said, this interview is a blessing to the world.

Here's the Letterman interview I was mentioning https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fWRctrgUF7I

That was fantastic. Totally beats her "I can wear heels now" Letterman interview.

January 7, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDerreck.

Also, they would have been just the oddest couple.

I know people HATE it with a passion, but she was really funny although in a dry way in the remake of "The Stepford Wives". It's actually one of my favorite performances of her.
Why not being funny in a chilly way in a movie? I don't see that as a disadvantage at all.
(I mean Meryl was so geniusly funny for actually NOT being funny in The Devil wears Prada)
Nicole's always quite funny and charming in her interviews.

LOVE this. The greatest talk show interview I've seen in a LONG time (and by greatest, I mean most entertaining).

Best part: When she says that since he obviously wasn't interested, she thought, "Well, maybe he's gay!" Honey... that's adorable, but NO. If he was gay, you wouldn't have been able to get him to shut up or stop touching you.

Fallon has managed to get so many people to open up and just fly. Both his recent Bradley Cooper interviews have been genius (especially egg roulette), he got Chris Pine drunk playing battleship and then this. She looked terrific both on set and in the clip. Agents must be fighting to get their people on his show.

What a doll!! She's cuter than a dozen kittens.

Sonja, I totally agree. Nicole is simply wonderful in The Stepford Wives--too bad she's stuck in such a crap ass movie.

I just rewatched Rabbit Hole. She is so warm in that, with so many tones to it. Terrific work.

they weren't the only ones blushing my face became red as a tomatoe watching this and I squirmed, funniest thing on tv in ages.

This is like Johnny Carson levels of amazing. The moment of realization on Jimmy's face is so authentic and fantastic.

There's now officially a NK interview to compete with her iconic "Now I can wear heels" moment on Letterman lol.

January 7, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterjason

I agree, I think she was very funny in Stepford Wives, along with Bette Midler and Glenn Close. BUT romantic comedies just aren't for her.

A good comedy though...sure. I know she's come close to working with Woody Allen a few times and that could be interesting.

January 7, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBia

OK, please keep Jimmy Fallon on TV for the next 30 years. Jay Leno wishes he has Jimmy's talent and natural charisma.

January 7, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterSteven

That was hilarious.

January 7, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterArkaan

This was hilarious. The What's in my Box? game also continued with Nicole flirting with Jimmy. They need to be in a comedy together.

January 8, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterSad man

Oh god, I watched it earlier and DIED. So funny. And you can just see Jimmy's regret lol.

January 8, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterPhilip H.

I LOVE this. So awkward - the both of them. I've watched it at least 10 times already.

Both their reactions are great - how Jimmy starts talking really quickly about other topics like Niagra falls and how Nicole starts to give one word answers and awkwardly states that the bear in the movie has beautiful brown eyes.... glorious.

January 9, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAnonny

I watched it at least five times in a row. So fantastic.
