Eddie to be Heard, Not Seen
Perhaps sensing that everyone will be sick of looking at him by the tail end of 2017 (what with the multiple Oscar nominated transformations, the actual Oscar, and that new Fantastic Beasts franchise), Eddie Redmayne will give his ginger mug a wee break from gigantification on the big screen. Instead he'll be leading the voice cast of Aardman's Early Man which just went into production for release in 2018. The best part of the news is that Nick Park will be directing and he's been absent from that particular chair for too long. (His last feature was 11 long years ago, the Oscar winning Curse of the Were Rabbit.)
You can pencil it in for a Best Animated Feature nomination right now (albeit two years from now) because Aardman has quite a track record of delights (sorry Flushed Away!). They've got a heavy shelf of awards to prove it including Oscar nominations for A Grand Day Out (1989) and A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008), The Pirates: Band of Misfits (2012), and Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) and four Oscar wins via Creature Comforts (1989), The Wrong Trousers (1993), A Close Shave (1995), and The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005).
Are you sick of looking at Eddie Redmayne yet or do you vow to never tire of that weird handsomeness?

eleven years since curse of the were-rabbit?? i thought that was a typo...
wow
OT: Sharon Stone reveals she has a tiny role in a new Marvel movie. Speculation is she'll being playing Michael Douglas' wife in the Ant-Man sequel.
Please, dude, go away. Cannot stand him.
Thank The Acting Gods.
There was a point in The Danish Girl where I was making a mental list of Eddie's facial expressions that I wanted him to never use again in future roles.
But he wins me over with his sincere enthusiasm and his whole hearted energetic commitment to what he's doing.
I also love his rapport with his female co-stars. They can completely let loose with the whole barrage of their talent with him. I think that he and Katherine Waterston will be a wonderful duo in Fantastic Creatures.
I'm not tired of him. I thought he gave a terrible performance in "The Danish Girl" and was just alright in "The Theory of Everything," but he has earned enough goodwill from me that I continue to be a fan. I'm hoping the annoying mannerisms that marred "The Danish Girl" was due only to Tom Hooper's direction.
The actor I'm sick of reading about upcoming projects for is Naomi Watts. It seems like everyday there's a new one. 2 with Tremblay, one each with Brie, Daisy Ridley and her Liev. Not to mention a Netflix series. And she was just in that movie with Jake, and About Ray which vanished post Toronto. And Insurgent.
Take a break, make us miss you. How many movies can one actor make in a year?
I love you Eddie!
He will win his second Oscar before this decade ends.
The world needs more Eddie Redmaynes
and less Leonardo DiCaprios.
I never liked Eddie all that much so can't say I'll miss him
Nah, he's still delightful to me.
Will never get tired of him. Haters can suck on his friends, Oscar and Tony. :)
