The Owl and the Pussycat
Or, "Alicia Vikander and Feathered Friend" but that doesn't have as much of a cinematic ring to it. Oh, and there are two new photos of Vikander as Lara Croft after the jump, the first official ones...
I think our Joann from Vanity Fair said it best when she said
It's a new thing for Lara. More info here from Vanity Fair

Well, a four years ago, now (five at the release of the movie), and two official games worth for Lara.
Can't wait for Captain Marvel!
All I get from Alicia is meh. Her face is not very expressive.
Goddamn she's pretty as fu....
As far as the Tomb Raider 2013 series goes? There are four major and distinct "nerd medium" riffs on the Indiana Jones format, and, though Uncharted is still the least of them (seriously, that would have made a LAME movie (There were fans that wanted the guy who played Grant bleeping Ward as Drake. Really, guys? I know he looks the part, but dude has less charisma than Finn Jones) and I'm SO thankful that didn't pan out), the Tomb Raider 2013 series is a (distant) second to the Queen of all the imitators: The comic book Gold Digger. Walks through a tomb, having a ball, singing the MST3K theme song. (That moment is in the 10th issue of the ongoing. There's an archive, creator approved, on the web if anyone wants to check it out.)
This is best Alicia's Magazine photo so far... she is better when wore attire with bold colour
I'm worried about her in action mode. She was downright bad/bland in Bourne or Man from UNCLE. She tends to be better in smaller movies like Farwell my Queen or Ex Machine (still her best two performances; excellent)
In other words:
1. Gold Digger (Gina Diggers is pretty much a great character. One of the least exposed great comic book characters currently around.)
2. Tomb Raider 2013 (Unlike classic Tomb Raider, they at least manage to make Lara somewhat of a character. Not a GREAT character, understand, but still a character.)
3. Tomb Raider 1996-2010 (Yeah, classic Lara isn't really...defensible...but at least it wants to be nuts, unlike Uncharted, which mostly doesn't.)
4. Uncharted (Seriously, though the characters might be better than the first iteration of the Tomb Raider, the plots are far worse.)
I thought that was Natalie Portman.
