Who had the best time at the Golden Globes? I nominate.....

Not only did Patricia Arquette give a rousing speech in which she managed to bring together the threat of war with Iran, the climate disaster in Australia and the upcoming American elections; she did so while never taking off her blue tinted glasses. And for some reason she appeared with a viking crown at the after parties. May the mystery of why she wore this never be explained.

One tiny trivia; did you know Arquette has won three Golden Globes in the last five years? For Boyhood, Escape at Dannemra and this year's The Act. In the process she beat Meryl Streep twice.

However let's have fun in the comments by captioning the photo or imagining where she got the viking crown from. Have at it.

Kind of tired of her always winning awards lol but props to her for being the only person to mention Iran in her speech.

I have been over her since she stole Amy Adams’s GG last year.

She's such a good example of someone who's oscar really changed her whole career.

Wasnt she starring in a CSI when she won for Boyhood?

"Hey Robert Eggers, do I look right for the part?"

Hope she continues to beat Meryl in future nominations!

I love this rebrand as a rock-and-roll Gena Rowlands Hollywood folk hero. Is it earned? I dunno, I haven't watched her buzzy shows. But she sells it beautifully!

She's an ingenue that turned into one of the world's best character actresses. Maybe one day people will wake up to Juliette Lewis and give her the same opportunities.

Caption: "Whosoever holds THIS hammer, if she be worthy, shall possess the power of Streep!"

Who cares about the caption? Geez, she's beyond hot.

Arquette has been doing more authentic and interesting things since Boyhood than Streep has, so kudos for her! Doing it with individuality and grit, something Streep hasn’t needed for a couple decades. Streep can, and does sometimes, coast of being The Legendary, The Greatest, which can get boring and selfish at times. Gimme this barely suited role and fuck the Spaceks and Turners etc. of the world!

She really must be proud of her breasts

She’s also won the same categories (and Oscar) as another three-timer, Angelina Jolie, but she did it better as it was three years in a row.

January 8, 2020 | Unregistered CommenterMafer

Sorry to double post. But Arquette did it better, lol, she won one of the two Emmys both were also nominated for. So she ended up with more awards in the end.

I still can't believe Streep did not win this award.

January 8, 2020 | Unregistered Commenterbrandz

Jaragon -- i mean, why shouldn't she? They're beautiful

Brandz -- honestly i didn't think either of them were going to win.

JF -- well put. And she does sell it.

Captioning this: Well, Jeff Bridges isn't going to be floating under these legs! (Can't believe no one's gone there with this.)
