Reason #10,473 to love Jamie Lee Curtis
She went to the premiere of Halloween Kills (2021) dressed as Marion Crane from Psycho (1960)...
...who was of course played by her own mother, Janet Leigh.
We can safely assume even without seeing it that Halloween Kills shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence as Psycho (though Halloween can since they're two of the most influential horror films ever made). Nevertheless, this is still such a serve, don'cha think?

We need to start campaigning for her honorary Oscar now. Oscar has always been reluctant to embrace scream queens, no matter how talented they are in whatever movie genre. I don't ever see her winning a competitive one but a career one is in reach but we have to start shouting for it now or she might have to wait as long as Loy and O'Hara did.
Give her a nomination is what I say undervalued for too long, though I don't like where they have taken Laurie in the new films.
I love her when she went bad in Mother's Boys a total trash 90's thriller which Curtis relishes.
Love this! Judy Greer's Annie Hall costume was also a delight. Genre movie red carpets should be more fun.
Jonathan -- totally agreed!
TomG -- i hear you on this. I hadn't thought of her before but she'd be a terrific choice since her best work is always in off Oscar genres: comedies, horror, action.
OK, it's official. Jamie Lee Curtis should receive an honorary Oscar. She is that great and probably a much better actor than her parents.
