Link, Link... BOOM!
• Advocate MJ Rodriguez gets the "Person on the Year" profile
• Deadline Carrie Coon, Alessandro Nivola, Chris Cooper, and Keira Knightley to star in a new movie about the Boston Strangler case in the 1960s. Amazing cast
• GQ Tom Holland covers the "men of the year" issue. Lil Nas X (music) and an athlete we dont know (we know nothing of sports, sorry!) get the other covers.
More after the jump including Alexandra Shipp, Adele, Will Smith and King Richard, Mean Girls men, Sex and the City's sequel and Shang-Chi...
• IndieWire American Cinematheque tribute to Scarlett Johansson
• Reductress "A team of mice and birds help me get dressed every morning and they fucking suck at it"
• Cartoon Brew this is the first time we can recall hearing movie news about a non-sequel that's a full six years away from release but they're going to make a movie musical out of Dr. Seuss's Oh The Places You'll Go for (gulp) 2027
• Independent excellent interview with rising star Alexandra Shipp (tick, tick... BOOM!)
• NBC News Kathia Woods on Will Smith's new memoir and King Richard in tandem
• inews on the ageist reactions to the trailer for Sex and the City's sequel series And Just Like That. (Ageism is the one still-publicly acceptable prejudice we don't seem to be making any headway on as society)
• LA Times reviews Adele's new album "30"
• BuzzFeed all three of the guys who co-starred in Mean Girls have come out as gay. (We knew about two of them but hello, Rajiv Surendra)
This week's must-read is a Twitter thread by @that_mc, who is a real bus operator, on Shang-Chi's already legendary San Francisco bus battle setpiece (easily one of the best action sequences in 13 years of the MCU). This thread is amazing stuff, promise. Here's just a tiny peak:
This is top quality bus driving. Also get the line "Every time I try to drive a bus I get yelled at" which a) lol and b) that's just being a bus operator. We get yelled at whenever we try to drive a bus too. pic.twitter.com/1I5jmSQ4lq

I really want to see this Scar-Jo tribute though I feel like the lack of presence from her brother/sisters from the Bullet Club is a bit upsetting. Nothing from Elliiot Page, PO'TMAN MOTHAFUCKA, Queen Anne, ERW, Olivia Thirlby, and THE BEST OF THE WORLD Jena Malone?
That makes me sad.
thevoid -- could you maybe elaborate. I literally have no idea what you're talking about. What is the bullet club?
Adele needs to cheer up.
