I'm going for 1998...
Titanic
A midnight projection of 'Peggy Sue gets married' for Linda May's birthday
Jack Nicholson retrospective for a screening of The Bucket List
@James-Ugh... why? That movie was awful. My dad HATED that movie.
Have you seen Nomadland? The bucket is a memorable moment.
Vagabond in 1985.
Martin Scorsese stands corrected.
I'm going to say LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RINGS. When it ended and her husband said it was only the first of three film you have to see to get the full story and the next one would come out in 12 months, she threw her arms up and said "never again!"
Passion Fish. Fern finds the beauty and perfection others overlook.
1999's The Straight Story
Fern doesn't go to the movies. She prefers a quiet night at home with a book, reading poetry.
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri
It's hard for me to imagine that woman ever committing to a full movie.
Fargo
I love you all for playing in the spirit of this post. I enjoyed every single one of these comments :) some were hilarious others thoughtful. And I think you can make all these arguments ;)
Fern doesn't seem the type to enjoy cinemas. Too enclosed and crowded. I imagine she and her husband having date nights renting movies and watching on the couch. I think she probably enjoyed drive in movies with her friends probably something like Rocky Horror.
She saw No Country for Old Men on a date night with her husband, after it won Best Picture and before everything went bad for them.
