Ghost Writer keeps showing up in European Awards . Could surprise Oscar noms await?
Finally as much as I lie to myself and pretend that each day has 57 hours in it, I need to face facts that there will never be enough time to do a whole post on the Asian Film Award Nominations or France's Cesar Nominations because they're happening during my own awards (which are running much later than usual -- it was building this damn website!) AND just a few days prior to Oscars. I love movie awards so much but I do so wish the calendars were spread out. Let it suffice to say for now that Of Gods and Men and The Ghost Writer did very well with the Cesars and South Korea's Poetry (which I've already raved about), Japan's Confessions (an Oscar finalist) and Thailand's Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives (already snubbed by Oscar) did well with the Asian awards nominations.
*It sounds like that to me because I am a crazy cat lady.

after scoring a bafta nom,many bundits feels that julianne is very likely to achieve her 5th career nomination,what do u think about that?maybe she's still in that very likely positon.i remember its u who guess maggie sneak in supporting actress,and its right,so im really want to hear from u about the opinion of julianne's chance.
and if the redhead goddess would score her 5th career nomination,i will be dying happy,so happy that she fimally back into race!
I don't think the leads in LIKE CRAZY are getting Oscar-type buzz, but Elizabeth Olsen in MARY MMM certainly is - she may be the Jennifer Lawrence/Carey Mulligan of this year. But I don't know if her movie will be quite as successful as theirs, and this year looks to be a strong one for Best Actress.
I'm really looking forward to Miranda July's next film and I couldn't care less if were about cat adopting or underwater basket weaving. I appreciate her vision, loved MAYAEWK, and I will watch this video when I get the chance. Thanks!
