20:10 "all dragons have a limited number of shots"

Screen capture from the 20th minute and 10th second of How To Train Your Dragon
(or thereabouts. I'm not so sure this VLC time counter works properly grrrr)

"How many does a Gronkol have?"

It's less than 19 hours until Oscar nominations!!! Which animated feature do you think will place alongside How To Train Your Dragon and Toy Story 3? It seems like a coin toss doesn't it between Tangled (the commerce and corporate tradition votes), The Illusionist (the art and international votes) and Despicable Me (the scrappy upstarts, comedy votes)? Well, a coin toss if you have a... uh... three sided coin.

Here's my chart of final Oscar predictions and the post in which I ask the big questions about uncertainties tomorrow morning.

Wonderful movie. Great for young and old movie watchers.

I don't know - it seems like Tangled's prowess at the box office could get it that third slot over The Illusionist. And thanks to the above shot, I'm about to waste some time today by rewatching How To Train Your Dragon yet again...

Oh, yes, I just saw "Dragon" yesterday, it is such a great film! I'm rooting for "The Illusionist" to take the third nod because it's really fantastic and would be nice to be seen nominated even though it has no chance against TS3.

What surprised me was that the Toy Story franchise has never won a best animated film Oscar. I couldn't believe my eyes when I realised the first year this award had been given out was 2002 and Shrek had won. So crazy! So I'll be very happy to see TS3 take the prize while I equally love "Dragon" and "The Illusionist" as well.
