THe last thing I watched was Like Crazy and it was very nice, but very simple. I would have loved it more if it was less straightforward, and slightly deeper.
The last thing I watched was TOMBOY by Céline Sciamma, winner of the Teddy Award in Berlin last february, and it was simply stunning, sweet and authentic in its portrait of this gender bender little girl who wants to be a boy. I couldn't love it more.
The last thing I watched was REVENGE on ABC and it is getting seriously good, y'all. I would have loved it more if there was more diva-tastic bitchiness this week, though.
And on the movie side of things: The last thing I watched was Moneyball, and it was a really, really smart film. I would have loved it more if it wasn't quite so insular and had more to say about The State of Things (as it were), though. (But, maybe that would be asking too much. It just felt really relevant somehow and I wish they had made the connection to today)
Certified Copy, for the third time / awesome, as always / I couldn't love it more than I do now.
The last thing I watched was Weekend (was thankfully surprised to find it available through On Demand). Really beautiful film. I would have loved it (even) more, if they had chosen a different song over the end credits. I get the lyrics are supposed to be all dreamy or whatever, but man did it take me out of that damn near pitch perfect ending. Still, wasn't enough to keep me from watching it 3 times over 2 days. Then again, I'm a sucker for quiet dramas that have just a touch of sadness and nudity.
The last thing I saw was Paranormal Activity 3 and it was worth it not being very good to see my boyfriend jump out of his skin every few minutes. I would've loved it more if it would've actually scared me (okay, I did jump ONCE) and if the ending wasn't...well, what it was.
The last thing I watched was "The Awakening" and it benefited from some lowered expectations since I found it rather elegantly moody and featuring some interesting touches. I would have loved it more if only they'd simply scrapped any and all CG work.
The last thing i watched was Terror Train and it was rather dull. I would have loved it more if Hart Bochner were nude in it.
(Damn it John Alcott worked with Kubrick!!!!)
The last thing I watched was Paranormal Activity 3 and it was still spooky enough to make me watch through my fingers. I would've loved it more if Katie Featherton would have been in it more.
The last thing I watched was the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and it was surprisingly underwhelming. I would have loved it more if the characters had not been so painfully, incredibly stupid and unpleasant (even by horror film standards); even though the last half-hour was genuinely unsettling, it couldn't salvage the first hour spent with all these profoundly annoying people.
The last thing I watched was "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee". I would have loved it more if Blake Lively hadn't been in it.
The last thing I watched was bridesmaids for like the 2147589123th time. It was fucking awesome, def the 2nd best film of the year after Drive. I would've loved it more if there would have been more of Rita. She's freaking brilliant.
...Contagion and it was highly enjoyable. I would have loved it if Soderbergh had made us care about what happened to the characters.
And at home.
... Stardust and it was uneven but cute. I would have loved it if the movie had gone wilder and wasn't as constrained as it feels.
The last thing I watched was Badlands and it was quite good. I would have loved it more if I wasn't half-asleep while watching it because seriously one needs to be awake and on like coffee-high to watch a Terrence Malick film, imho.
The last thing I watched was Breathless, and it was the first time that I feel like I understood the plot. It made me wonder what else the lead actor and actress (quite divalicious and amazing) have done. I also wonder if it was an inspiration for Bonnie and Clyde. I would have loved it more if I could speak French.
The last thing I watched was 'The Purple Rose of Cairo' and it was delightful. I would have loved it more if... nah! it's just perfect, I couldn't love it more :)
The last thing I watched was ENLIGHTENED and it was SPECTACULAR. I would have loved it more if IT HAD RUN FOUR HOURS LIKE INLAND EMPIRE. I could watch Laura Dern emote for eternity. In all honesty, this week's episode had me crying from just its opening monologue.
It was 'Rachel getting married' and it was a fine movie with superb acting... but I would have loved it more if I hadn't had to put up with things such as speeches by half the guests in the rehearsal dinner (I mean, cut it down a bit, Demme! LOL)
The last thing I watched was IT'S KIND OF A FUNNY STORY, and it was better than I thought it would be. It would've hated it more were Keir Gilchrest and Emma Roberts not so charming together at times (Zach Galifianakis helps a lot too), because the whole premise had the potential to be exceedingly off-putting. As it is the movie is merely occasionally off-putting.
The last film I watched was John Ford's "THE INFORMER" and it was superb; Ford's striking expressionism is as indelible as Victor McLaglen's guilt-ridden ‘Gypo’—who gives one the most deserving performances to ever garner a Best Actor Oscar. I would have loved it (even) more if Preston Foster and been given a little more screen-time/scenes.
The last thing I saw was Midnight in Paris. I thought it was pretty good, but I would have loved it more if there had been more Marion Cotillard and if she had more of an emotional arc and had had more emotional scenes (like Incpetion, which she was spectacular in).

The last thing I watched was The Ides of March and it was deliciously fun. I would have loved it more if Marisa Tomei hadn't been so sidelined. I mean, I understand why, but still she's only been given to us in small portions this year. Let her headline a movie, please!
The last thing I watched was Brokeback Mountain (for the first time since seeing it in theaters) and it was sadly not as magical as I remembered. I would have loved it more if Randy Quaid had not been cast and if there weren't so many slight pauses before characters broke down crying.
The last thing I watched was Hanna, and it was surprisingly good. It's definitely my favorite Wright film. I would have loved it more if there'd been either a bit more or a bit less of Olivia Williams' family in it.
The last thing I watched was a test screening of EXTREMELY LOUD AND INCREDIBLY CLOSE and it was, all things considered, very good. I would have loved it more in a final cut once they've evened out some pacing issues that they were clearly testing. Excited to see what the final cut ends up looking like even though it's one hell of a sad film.
Hannah.
a little disappointing, but still good.
I would have loved it more if the script had shown more love to the story.
Franklyn
It was interesting.
I would have loved to know what really happened, but I guess it will always end up in a debate.
The last thing I watched was 50/50, and it was unexpectedly emotional for me. I would have loved it more only if Seth Rogen's character would have been a little less "Set Rogen"-y in some parts. Kinda distracted me too much. Everything else was amazing. Having recently had my mother and grandmother have cancer at the same time when I was away at college, and an estranged beloved aunt die slightly before then, cancer hits me hard. The humor and pain surrounding this event was very truthful feeling. And Anjelica Huston and the mother character in general was brilliant, hands down.
Hanna. It was pretty good, beautifully cast. I would have liked it better if I hadn't seen the whole story in the trailer. I hadn't really understood people's complaints about trailer synopses before, but now I get it.
The last thing I watched was PARKS AND RECREATION and it was FUNNY AS HELL! I would have loved it more if AMY POEHLER WON AN EMMY FOR IT ALREADY.
The last thing I watched was Evil Under the Sun and it was brilliant! I would have loved it more if Dame Maggie Smith and Dame Diana Rigg had actually bitch slapped each other rather than just doing it with words but lacking that it was still divine. The settings are gorgeous and the clothes amazing, Sylvia Miles never looked so good.
The last thing I watched was "Groundhog Day" and it was perfect as ever! I would have loved it more if every time I watched it, it gave me a dollar (the only fathomable way to make the movie better).
The last thing I watched was 50/50 and it was pretty good. I would have loved it more if JGL and Kendrick had actually done something about the sexual tension at the end.
The last thing I saw was Tintin, which I loved. And I'm one of those devoted fans that know the comics inside out. Jamie Bell gives such a perfectly calibrated performance, and Speilberg has resisted the urge to modernise the stories. I just found the whole thing an unmitigated joy.
The last thing I watched was Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and it was amazing in the so-bad-it's-without-flaw way. I would have loved it more if there were more logic flaws (punching someone and having them fly through gravity, flying into space from New York and coming back down in the exact same spot to be in China, etc.)
The last thing I watched was John Carpenter's They Live and it was ....interesting. I would have loved it more had it not ascended the heights of ridiculousness with the five hour backalley brawl between Roddy Piper and Keith David. Everything after that point didn't matter any more.
Julian -- omg. i hate that movie so much. or maybe it's #3 that i hate. i can't remember. at least i love the first two.
Ben -- Jamie Bell is magic. I keep hoping the world will catch up to him because doesn't he deserve to be as famous as like Gosling and GOrdon-Levitt and such. (rhetrocial question)
Kent -- so deserving!
Ben -- what do you think of it's Oscar chances if they don't change it much from what you saw?
Jason -- i keep feeling like the studios must know by now that Marisa Tomei is well loved out there in the world. what's holding them back from using her as a lead like they tried to in the mid 90s. It didn't totally take back then but people love her way more now. She definitely improved with age.
Tyler "I would have loved it more if Blake Lively hadn't been in it." .... isn't that true of like everything she's in ;) (with maybe the exception of The Town)

The last thing I watched was Sport's Night and I would've enjoyed it more had I not known that Felicity Huffman has spent the past five years or so languishing away on Desperate Housewives. She's no virtuoso but she deserves better. She could have a wonderful stage career once Housewives kicks the bucket.
The last thing I watched was Mouchette and I would have enjoyed it more if I got to see it on the big screen and not on my (respectable) home system.
Very beautiful film.
The last thing I watched was Margin Call and it was mediocre. I would have enjoyed it more if it had a better story. I found it strange the director pulled together this big-name cast and made a nice looking moving that just seemed so uninteresting. Not sure if it is because I'm jaded, but I just couldn't seem to get outraged or excited about their drama.
The last thing I watched was Erin Brockovich and it was pretty good. I would have loved it more if it was a little less conventional and "correct".
Too bad Soderberg didn't make more movies with female characters (one big role like in Erin - not many small ones - or two, like in Sex, Lies....)
