FYC Film Bitch Awards
As we race toward year's end, it's time to start thinking about The Film Experience's annual celebratory jamboree, the long-running Film Bitch Awards! Here's where I'd like your help. Though I'm already arguing with myself over the top categories and my lists of a dozen contenders fighting for each top 5 list, I could use suggestions elsewhere. The "extra" fun categories still have a ton of leeway and I've definitely nominated things I might not have thought of without a little memory jog from readers in years past.
Any FYCs? Please pass them on in the comments for the following 8 categories:
- Best Limited or Cameo Performance (i.e. 1 or 2 scenes only)
- Best Line Delivery
- Action Sequence
- Musical Sequence
- Best Kiss
- Best Sex Scene
- Credit Sequence/Title Design
- Best Scenes in General... any type

BEST SCENE: Kristen Wiig vs. Rose Byrne in BRIDESMAIDS during the toast
FYC Best Limited or Cameo Performance:
It may be too big to count in this category for your awards, but Nicole Beharie for Shame definitely gets my vote. The date scene between her and Fassbender really pops out as one of the best in the film for me. So honest and naturalistic. She reacts perfectly to him and was so captivating.

"Hold On" (Ensemble of "Bridesmaids")
Best Sex Scene
The Dry Hump (Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake, "Bad Teacher")
Best Scene-

My favourite limited/ cameo performance was Rebel Wilson in Bridesmaids. Also Rebel Wilson for Best line readings for "At first I did not know it was your diary. I thought it was a very sad, handwritten book'' and "you got a package... i'd bring it to you but you said don't touch my things".
Is Natural Selection eligible? Best sex scene! Rachael Harris' face says it all.
Best line delivery: I second the nomination of just about anything Jessica Barden says in "Hanna". Also: Emma Stone's coffee commercial in "Crazy, Stupid, Love". It's de-CAF-einated! And Mila Kunis' in "Friends with Benefits" - "I'm just going to completely shut myself down emotionally. Like George Clooney."
Musical moment: "Tiptoe through the Tulips" in "Insidious".
Well obviously these all go to the The Dark Knight Rises trailer, right?
Best Limited or Cameo Performance:
Mary Page Keller as the mom, Georgia, in Beginners.
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in X-men: First Class.
Gotta agree with Maggie Smith as well. Might as well call her Damn M. S. instead of Dame; she's that bad-ass.
Sissy Spacek in The Help.

Best Scene:
Snape's memories in HP:DH 2.
Creation of the world from The Tree of Life.
Finale of The Tree of Life.
The 20th game in Moneyball.
Drive's finale. That shadow! Shot of the year.
I honestly don't know if this counts, cause it was a festival film, but the first time the soon to be stepsisters sleep together in Sweden's With Every Heartbeat is one of the best love scenes I've seen in a long time.
Best Scene - We Need To Talk About Kevin, the scene where Kevin lets her read Robin Hood to him, Rise of the Planet of the Apes "NO!",
Best Kiss - Gosling/Mulligan is right up there, for sure.
Best Musical Sequence: Closing credits to Sucker Punch. I'm one of two people who loved the movie and was oddly attracted to Oscar Isaac. Him singing Love is the Drug made me swoon against my better judgement.
I second Snape's memories for best scene too!
Oh jeez and the Melancholia prolouge. Okay, I gotta stop :)
freelance writer
Hugh Jackman in 'X-Men: Fist Class
Limited Role: Helen McCrory in Hugo. She brings an intensity to the wife scenes and a delicious sensual enjoyment to the movie-making scenes. For all the 3D and action sequences, she the is the one with the most expressive body.
Also for McCrory: one of the Best Lines in Harry Potter: "Is Draco still alive?"
Limited Role: Will Patton in Meek's Cutoff. Although Meeks is not an actor's showcase, without extended dialogue, action sequences, lingering close-ups, etc, Patton still manages to create a character of intelligence, thoughtfulness, and integrity.
A Best Line: although one may scorn the movie, actors, genre, writer, girls, and romance, STILL - "I've been waiting a hundred years to marry you, Miss Swan" from Twilight.
Best cameo:
-Adrien Brody in Midnight in Paris (very great moment imo)
-Emma Stone in Friends with Benefits
Best Line Delivery:
-There are many great lines in Margin Call, but I loved this one the most:
Kevin Spacey's character: crying alone in the room on the day half of his team were sacked. "my dog is dying"
Best Musical Sequences:
-Many from The Muppets
-The last scene in Bridesmaids
-Marcy song in MMMM
-Shame
For best line reading - Steve Coogan from The Trip: "She was only 15 years old..." This was when they were doing their Michael Caine impressions from Harry Browne. I really hated Harry Browne, but I'm sorta glad that I saw it, so I could get the joke in The Trip.
"Young Adult" for Best Sex Scene and Collette Wolfe for Limited Performance. (Actually really surprised to not see either mentioned here...)
Udo Kier for Limited, as well!
"Take Shelter" for Best Scene for the storm shelter scene.
Nathaniel, have you seen Myth of the American Sleepover yet? I HIGHLY recommend it, and there is a scene I think absolutely qualifies to be considered among this year's best 'musical sequences.'
