The Next To Last Action Hero

JA from MNPP here, with a little tidbit of news making the rounds - didja hear the one about the former body-building pot-smoking movie-starring Hamilton-hunting Kennedy-marrying California-governing pronunciation-trouncing fellow that's decided to retake up one of those former glories, namely jumping back into the movie business?

Asked about the "three scripts" he reportedly had on offer in January, Arnold Schwarzenegger says "Well, first of all it's more 15 films, obvious ones from The Terminator to remakes of Predator and The Running Man and all of those things. Then also a lot of original stuff too. But I am also packaging a Comic Book character right now. I'm going to announce that sometime by the end of March or the beginning of April."

No word on what "comic book character" he speaks of, but it's curious that he mentions the Predator and Terminator properties since both of those were recently rebooted, with mixed-if-I'm-being-kind results, without him. Could we see Adrien Brody and Arnie join pecs to take down that dread-locked space-hunter? Or is he merely producing these? The man is about to turn 65 years old and has had heart surgery, I think there's only so much running and skull-slamming he can do.

If you were his agent what would you advise Arnie to do next?

Hmmmm. it's tough to now if his breed of action would sell anymore even if he wasn't 65. Who'da thunk we'd be saying "they don't make em like they used to" about people from the 80s but thats definitely true of action stars.

Ummm did you even see the suggestion of Kindergarten Cop 2: The Graduation?!?!? It was on Thompson on Hollywood!!! That sounds awesome.

I find myself remembering that Schwarzenegger wasn't exactly on top of the blockbuster world when he quit acting for politics. End of Days, The Sixth Man, and Collateral Damage weren't really classic action films.

I think if I were Arnold's agent I'd be looking something that goes beyond Hollywood blandness, something Tarantinoesque where Arnold could be part of a larger ensemble.

RETIRE. He was never a great actor. (Don't get me wrong - T2 is one of my favorite movies - but let's be real here.) Action heroes are much more cerebral now. If Jason Statham can't become an international action star then Arnie has no chance. And did you see him "The Expendables"? Ugh.

He should play gay in a movie and remain gay for the entire picture no female love interest.

torebki skora skórzane torebki damskie I have a Dell Latitude Laptop using Windows XP. I took it to Geek Squad because it was skipping and the freezing up when I played DVDs or any kind of audio. When it freezes I have to turn it off witut shutting it down. It also wouldn't freeze right away..it freezes into about 10 minutes of playing DVDs or youtube videos. It was also making weird noises when it froze. Best Buy informed me that the noise wasn't any hardware issue, but the kind of noise the computer makes when it's frozen. They said nothing was wrong hardware wise, and that I had 6 viruses on the laptop. Well now, all those viruses are removed, and my laptop is still skipping and freezing when I play DVDs..to the point where I have to turn off the computer without shutting it down. If it's not viruses, and geek squad said everything is fine with the computer physically, then what is it? 1 second ago
