The Time Link Machine

The Now
Pajiba Joanna reveals 10 current tv characters she'd like to shag. Hear hear on #7 Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott on Parks and Recreation). Zoinks but I love him. And the show, too. One of those blessed TV shows that gets consistently stronger all the time, as if learning from itself rather than calcifying.
The Wrap Hugh Dancy takes the lead in Spree. I was wondering what had become of him outside of being on Claire Danes arm at awards shows.
Gold Derby Emmy categorizations. Chris Colfer (Glee) and Ed O'Neill (Modern Family) are going for supporting again despite the lead Comedy Actor category opening up a bit with the exit of Emmy slot hogs  from Monk and Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Kenneth in the (212) turns us on to a Mark Ruffalo Guest DJ program
Scene Stealers ran a fun Thor hammer photoshop contest. See the amusing results.

The Future
My New Plaid Pants Jeremy Renner would like to play Steve McQueen in a movie but JA has a better idea: Rainer Werner Fassbinder. My feelings are Yes and Hell, Yes.
Boing Boing Omelette recipe printed on an egg. Oh Technology you clever clever scamp.
IndieWire Ed Burns is never going back to theatrical releases (via Tribeca Film Festival).

The Past
Towleroad Karl Lagerfied is the new Willy Wonka.
i09 Restored uncensored version of Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" is being published. Does this mean we'll get another film version.
The Awl, like Pajiba, is feeling the lusty month of may already. 111 Literary characters in order of Bangability. Ha. You'll never believe it but Mr. Darcy is NOT #1.
BET remembers Imitation of Life
Old Hollywood on affection for former lovers via Jeanne Moreau.
Stirred Straight Up With a Twist did you know that Joan Crawford was almost named Joan Arden.

Parks and Recreation keeps getting better and better. I thought last week's episode involving the hamburger cook off might have been its strongest ever.

Also, I love Adam Scott a lot.

Regarding the Gold Derby link....I'm glad they're pushing Naya Rivera for award consideration. Her work in Glee has been more consistent and not to mention funnier than whatever Jane Lynch is doing this season. Alas, Lynch will be nominated while Rivera gets snubbed...which is a damn, DAMN shame. Award familiarity for the lose.

It's so weird O'Neill is going lead for MODERN FAMILY. I always consider he and Burrell as the leads on the show.

Of course I'm pushing a win for Julie Bowen all the way. She and Burrell are the strongest players for me.

I can totally see why a move for a lead nomination is extremely well thought, especially in that category, which is totally weak after the exits of Shalhoub and David.

Since only Baldwin, Parsons and Carell are locked for a nom (with Carell a shoo-in for the win, being its final season and having never won), there are 3 spots up for grabs. I am desperately wishing that Joel McHale (Community), MATTHEW PERRY (Mr. Sunshine) and Matt LeBlanc/David Duchovny get those spots. They thoroughly deserve it.

With these news, supporting comedy actor becomes a really competitive category, with vote splitting from all the 'Modern Family' guys (I believe this year O'Neill gets in and Jesse Tyler Ferguson does not) paving the way for a Chris Colfer win. You know it'll happen.

Especially since Jane Lynch is bound to lose her Emmy this year for one of the 'Modern' ladies - last year I'd have preferred Vergara but I believe this year Julie Bowen is a lock to win - if she picks the best episode (Emmy voters are so iffy with that).

Moreover, I second your mention of PARKS AND RECREATION. It's definitely the best comedy on television and it only gets better. It's amazing.

Parks & Rec, Cougar Town (so much fun it should be forbidden!) and Community - the three best comedy shows on TV (if you want, you can add 'Modern Family' - albeit with a subpar second season but yes still going strong - and 'Unites States of Tara' to make it five).

Also, NATHANIEL: The trailer for Lone Scherfig and Anne Hathaway's 'ONE DAY' is up on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xfmh2FqhqIk&feature=player_embedded

I hope you do a 'Yes,No,Maybe So' with that one too :)

@Jonathon - YES! Naya Rivera has been on fire this season. I was watching Tuesday's episode thinking about how great she is in that role and her line readings are perfect. She deserves consideration at the very least. We know it probably won't happen (okay DEFINITELY won't), but at least other people are realizing how great she is.

Hell yes regarding Ben Wyatt/Mr. Adam Scott. Huge crush on him.
