hmmm. perhaps i should've restricted this to one sentence. haha. usually people are so much noisier :)
1) The one of you, because it amuses me. Other than Gosling I don't know who these folks are.
2) Tie: Return of reader profile (I didn't think I was interested in them until they disappeared) and more of your artwork.
Runner up: Finishing the Moulin Rouge tribute...which will never happen of course. But, whatev. *sigh* (I can't believe I used "whatev" in a sentence.)
1) ......which only goes to show you that people really dig the Devil. Now, if there was a movie called "The Devil Drives the Muppets to Hell" it would have Harry Potter-level success.
2) I prefer fronts.
3) More Meryl Streep. I kid. Idk, maybe some live-blogging movies you watch at home? That would be fun. But mostly, stay healthy and be your prolific self forever. Well, at least untill I say "stop". :)

1. people are idiots.
2. Ryan Gosling, he's the only one I recognize.
3. reader profiles!
1) It just goes to show you that originality is overrated. Every year I say 'this is the year where everybody gets tired of the 'cheap horror' genre and every freakin' year something in the likes of Paranormal Activity comes up and makes a million bucks. GAH. It makes me sad to live in a world where 'Beginners' makes 14 million worldwide and this movie makes 34 milllion in its opening weekend nationwide. NOT. FAIR. And it also goes to show you people HATE the December/January Oscar-filled period of the calender and watch anything else there is at the multiplexes.
2) Honestly, I love Michael Fassbender's back in the banner. I know Gosling's is iconic and all that but... I love how Fassy is numbly staring at the curtains.
3) More reader participation, be it in the form of those delightful 'Ask Nathaniel' pieces or Streep Reader Ranking or Hit Me With Your Best Shot. I love this little community here at TFE, where everyone has always something insightful to say.

(Just to make sure we all realize the second sentence is a trick question, since every picture in the banner - not just the profile pic - is a picture of Nathaniel. I have stayed in his apartment, and I have seen the huge tattoo on his left shoulder as well as his crimped extensions. Sorry, Nathaniel, had to spill the beans.)
Nick: A fine collection of wigs he has then ;)
1. People are gluttons for punishment. I was actually dragged to it, but I didn't pay for it so I didn't contribute to the insanity.

I wanna see more full out reviews for movies instead of tid bits/scattered thoughts, of course! By now i now how you feel about them but still want the full review treatment. maybe thats asking a lot? i could just be spoiled. Also, i wouldnt mind more your artwork accompanying your posts!
One thing I'd like to see in The Film Experience is who the people are in the banners. I love the way the banner changes and has themes. But I just don't know enough to figure out who everyone is (some are so tantalizingly familiar). It's fun to try to guess, but could we have answers or a short list after they've been up fro a while?

I'll just answer the last one. What I'd like to see more of in 2012 is NATHANIEL!! The number and frequency of guest bloggers needs to be brought WAY WAY WAY down, if not altogether eliminated!
Janice -- GAH. Moulin Rouge! It haunts me so.
J.M. and anyone else who'd like more of me -- there's this neat little "donate" thing on the sidebar and the more i am able to reach jumping above the poverty level the more time i will have to be able to devote to writing and not seeking out other forms of employment. Please and thank you.
also please give columnists a chance. they are also providing good content out of love like me. and i request them because i enjoy their articles.
podcast seekers -- all things that require groups of people to get together must be accepted with joy but not expected. Unless i'm paying people it happens when it happens ;)
adri hmmm. that's an idea. I shall think on that.
Derreck and Beau no i get it but Hardy's back actually freaks me out. TOO MUCH.
Nick !!!! no. that's actually fassbender. I only have curtains, no blinds. your memory is whack!
I know it looks like that photo-still from Shame, but the whole blinds/curtains thing is not fooling me. We all know how you throw yourself into a project once you devise it. The wig of crimped Daryl Hannah hair? The scorpion jacket? The giant "Become a Human Tortoise" weight machine hidden behind the bathroom door, and the Bic pen/"Who Is Sammy Jankis?" self-tattooing kit in your desk? You think I didn't notice any of this?

Correct me if I'm wrong but are these the six backs in the banner:
Gosling in Drive
LOL IDK Carey Mulligan?
Fassy in Shame
Emma Watson in HP?
I wanna say Tom Hardy but the hair is throwing me off
Daryl Hannah in Splash
LOL btw @ the 'Become a Human Tortoise' weight machine. Such a perfect description of Hardy's current physical state. He so is.
• If I could vote for ONE thing to see more of at The Film Experience in 2012 it would be more of your thoughts about predictions. Not necessarily updating the charts, but giving us your opinions of every movie Oscar chances as the season unfolds.
Mark -- you are correct except that that's Marilyn Monroe from Some Like it Hot and Uma Thurman from kill bill instead of Mulligan and Watson
Finally, confirmation. Now I can stop wondering if that was MM or Simone Signoret.
