Just Enjoy The Show

Cope and Dalton have made another spoof video of the Oscars. This one is just as offensive, though less consistently funny, than last year's (the presence of Inception in 2010 helped for the alternate reality comedy).

My favorite skewerings are of the self-pitying The Descendants and the eliptical structure of The Tree of Life "the earth. a dinosaur. a shoe. Sean Penn" and the "Rise of..." twist on the All Hell Breaks Loose finale is fun.

You know it's alternate reality and satire when Woody Allen runs screaming through the crowd. Everyone knows Woody never attends the Oscars!

If you're interested, here's their satirical jab at the forthcoming Oscars...

I want my money back. I want my money back. just enjoy the show ♫

SJP as War Horse. Emma Stone's notebook. Thelma & Louise! Delicious.

Umm, I thought she was saying something like "I want a lollipop" which probably says something about me? Nah, it can't be. :p

But, really, enough with Madonna and Sarah Jessica.

Woody? Terrence Malick showed up in the video-talk about alternate reality.

I agree with you, enough with 'Sarah Jessica Parker has a horse face' and 'Madonna is an old broad' jokes.

The best parts of the video, in my opinion, are the bashing of THE DESCENDANTS (spot on! - rich white people and their problems), the Andy Serkis part ('Haven't you seen Lord of the Rings?! Get me Peter, I feel sad!') and yes the Tree of Life narration (Sun. The Earth. A shoe. Sean Penn. Another shoe. I don't fart').

Ah ah and I also love the anticlimactic Lenka song being played by the Moneyball kid while the riot happens.

But yes, last year's was more solid.
And Tilda going in on Meryl is awesome, yes, because part of me already feels she's an alien.
