"Are they made from real Girl Scouts?"
March 12th Happy Centennial Girls Scouts of America!
Girl Scout: Is this made from real lemons? I only like all natural foods and beverages. Are you sure they're real lemons?
Pugsley: Yes.
Girl Scout: Well, I'll tell you what. I'll buy a cup if you buy a box of my delicious girl scout cookies. Do we have a deal?
Wednesday Addams: Are they made from real Girl Scouts?
The Girl Scouts of America will never have a better movie moment than Addams Family (1991), am I right? I love that Mercedes McNab graduated from "Girl Scout" to a name role, Amanda "I'm going to be an actress!" Buckman' in the sequel Addams Family Values (1993) where she squared off with Christina Ricci again in that movie's most memorable plot thread.
Long live Harmony Kendall!

she was also in BUFFY (the first seasons if i remember well)
LOVE!
Love, love love this scene! I watched The Addams Family so much when I was younger (I might have worn out the VHS) and this was always my favorite scene. No matter how many times I see it, it still makes me laugh out loud. Everything about it is so perfect, from the line readings to the set decorations (LOVE the "Tombstone" billboard behind the Girl Scout!). Did anyone NOT think Christina Ricci was going to be a big star after this?
reminds me of the story I recently heard about two guys driving up to a bunch of girl scouts resulting in them stealing their money box. One of the Girl scouts hung onto the back bumper and was dragged across the street as another girl scout ran up to the driver and punched him in the face. This happened at some wal-mart,too. they got away, but still. Theyre little ass kickers!
amazing pizza product placement in the background.
ADORE this post - Christina v. Mercedes is the highlight in each of those movies - indelible stuff!
The fact that young actresses that did so well like Christina Ricci and Kirsten Dunst don't even have an Oscar nom under their belt is so weird to think about (though KiKi's star is rising...doesn't look like Christina's is though). If Christina was good in Monster (I thought she was legitimately awful, unfortunately) she totes could've gotten some traction for that, I think.
The girl that played Harmony Kendall was funny in Buffy too.
