Thank Canada for Rosario Dawson's second female lead. Or worry because there are kids in middle school who are as old as Atom Egoyan's last good movie.

Her relationship with an Oscar winning director.

Nat: If Cloud Atlas is problematic as is, wouldn't cuts just help exasperate the problems? When I heard the length as "160 minutes" I went "that's very short for this source material, isn't it?"

3rtful: WOW. I'd agree that the relationship is part of why she has the Trance part, but combined with Sin City 2 and Chavez, that's someone who's appeared in three very different films that could have highly positive critical reactions. Trance is the not-necessarily Oscary middle brow throwback thriller, Sin City 2 is the freaky mainstream fun and Chavez is the more traditional Oscar Bait, which is her most likely bid.
Nom count guesses for her films:
Sin City 2 = 2-9 noms. In order of likelihood: Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Costume Design (so self consciously stylish (if also hyper sexed)), Supporting Actor (Clive Owen or Josh Brolin this time), Supporting Actress (Rosario Dawson), Editing, Director, Picture, Adapted Screenplay.
Trance = 0-3 noms. In order of likelihood: Sound Mixing, Sound Editing, Production Design (A main character is a FINE ART AUCTIONEER!)
Chavez: 0-3 noms. In order of likelihood: Actor, Supporting Actress (Rosario Dawson), Supporting Actor (Malkovich). Diego Luna is too unknown of a quantity for much more than that.

I find it funny that people are wondering about the '80s-authenticity of "The Carrie Diaries," because I remember that when "Sex and the City" first came out, I was expecting it to be more like the Merchant-Ivory adaptation of Slaves of New York and was disappointed that it wasn't.

Way to go people, taking the piccies away of Keanu was a real bummer...

I don't think there is an actress that has cried more than Natalie Portman. I think she cried in every scene of Brothers.

If you want to see Natalie in a rare dry-eyed performance watch Your Highness.

Nathaniel did you watch Jimmy Kimmel hosted by Matt Damon because your love Nicole Kidman humped Jimmy Kimmel. You must be so jealous.
