Pfeiffer Leaves Her House!

It's so rare we have to report on it every time. Yesterday Michelle Pfeiffer was on the arm of her husband David E Kelley attending the 23rd Television Hall of Fame Inductee Gala.

Kelley was one of a handful of new inductees. He's not the TV force he once was with hit after hit on the air but he's behind the new Robin Williams / Sarah Michelle Gellar sitcom "The Crazy Ones". It used to be more common to see Pfeiffer at the Emmys than the Oscars due to being his plus one now for 20 years.

Congratulations to David E. Kelley on this well deserved honor. But Mr. Kelley, now that your schedule is lighter than it once was, your daughter is 19 and your son turns 18 this summer, can you please convince Mrs. Kelley to go back to work? Seriously what does she do with all her time? I can't fathom it.

She sits at home in her PJs reading The Film Experience, I bet. ;)

You freaked me out with your headline. I thought she was getting a divorce.

JA -- sometimes i think there's a society of famous hollywood wives that conduct secret rituals to control the world, quite possibly in the dungeons below the west wing of Rita Wilson's estate. I imagine that Bridget Fonda and La Pfeiffer are often arm in arm cackling as they cast their spells.

The one good thing I can see for staying at home all the time is that it kept Michelle out of the LA sun and preserved her beauty. She's like the Pharrell of all time great beautiful actresses.

I've never really understood the love on this blog for Nicole (don't hate me, please, just an opinion), but I do share the love of Michelle. She's like Jessica Lange - a great actress trapped inside a beautiful exterior.

The best thing David could do for Michelle (and the world) is to make a movie at home with his wife. Why not? I mean didn't they do that Shakespeare movie in someone's house last year? And half of Woody's movies are claustrophobic interior one-room kind of things.

Nathaniel-how do we make THAT movie happen?!?

Dave, thanks for the Jessica shout-out! Would love for her and Michelle to do another movie together. They have a great vibe on-screen.

I think David Kelley is a goddamn genius. Picket Fences was a masterpiece. The Crazy Ones has hit a few bumps, but mostly, it is smart entertainment, with rapid-fire dialog not seen since Billy Wilder. Not to mention, it shows off my city Chicago in quite lovely ways.

I think he should write a film for the missus and then she would have quite a noteworthy vehicle. I'm still trying to block Dark Shadows from my consciousness. Sigh.

I'd like to pitch a Michelle Pfeiffer/Jodie Foster team-up for the second season of True Detective.

Everyone says that only Cate Blanchett could play Jasmine and Angelina could play Maleficient. But I think that Michelle is the only actress in the industry that could have played Jasmine and Maleficient. She has the looks and the talent.

Please M. Pfeiffer came back!

Brandon -- but she lacks the desire. (sigh)

Nathan, she will listen to you. Hang in there!

I still so want to be her when I grow up
....naturally talented and beautiful...wow!

I'm afraid she's just too busy being a vegan these days. Stage work would help her to regain the love for acting.

Nathaniel, no one lacks the desire to be the star in a Woody Allen movie. Jasmine was the best character from a movie the past year. It's a shame... And to think that she had no problems to be in The Family. Such a bad and lazy film.

Just saw In a Lonely Place from Nicholas Ray. Oh my God can we talk about Gloria Grahame and that final scene? Now that's a film and a woman.

It's so frustrating that Michelle rarely works anymore. I know she did NYE, PLU & DS back to back in 2011 but they were hardly performances which took a lot out of her and cant imagine there was a heavy work load on them. Wrapped The Family in October 2012 and nothing since.

What happened to Man Under? Sounded a decent project. I keep hoping she'll get that break again from someone but Michelle has to want to put herself out there again and show people what she can do.

Can we get Michelle and Jessica Lange playing sisters in an Alexander Payne film written by David Kelley? The mother would be played by June Squibb.
